Two solid choices for funds IMO. There's a decent amount of upside in those funds compared to the risk exposure. Low expenses too so that's a plus. FWIW, I'm holding VASVX and have been happy with it.

Not interested in rupee exchange sorry.. Also, don't add me to your PM list.

401k, not another dime.. I don't know all the funds available for you to pick or if it's open, but pick a couple of long term wieners. Don't focus on college savings, focus on saving and investments. My college fund will be get off your ass study hard get a scholarship and a job fund. Nothing against giving the kids some help, but hardship builds character. Just enough though.. not enough to set them up to fail ya dig. Plus, if lil anil doesn't want to go to college or wants to attend Hamburger University, you don't want to pay a big penalty by taking out the moolah.

Anyways..

Exhaust is installed, super easy. Love how it sounds, only complaint is the 3-4k rasp is still there just not as prevalent as before. Sooooo deep though. Once you hit vtec it sounds exotic.

JJH Justin, you sure you got in the right TL?

What's the rest of your setup because I have zero rasp. I did end up wrapping MOST of the exhaust in header wrap, not sure if that helps.

yeah I have been sending some $$$ back home....the exchange rate is just frigging INSANE !!!

yeah the common logic is the max out 401K....I only started the 401K coz the company matches 50% of my investments....hell, 50% is a great deal even if you dont invest in shit LOL...

about college fund, i bet all parents hope their kids will get a free ride through college....people dont realize that, but being prepared is the best weapon....back in India my Dad told me a simple thing "I have to pay out Rs. Xxxxx to college, if you get a full scholarship, the money is yours, if not then am gonna pay it to the school anyway"....hell yeah, got my first car that way

but if I hadnt gotten the scholarship my dad was ready to pay for my 4yr degree....so I want to be prepared for the same as well....and hey if he goes to hamburger university, am gonna use the money for myself....hell he aint getting shit if he aint shit

I namean, Justin...big time.
I also have some eshift procats and NOT full on delete at the motor. Maybe that's the difference. See if you can grab a rag and hold the exhaust tubes and have someone rev...if the resonance goes away by you limiting the movement, it'll probably help.

Also, did you do the cardboard thing between the 2 jpipe sections when tightening down? Since they flex when revving could they be rubbing together?

Ah...yeah, sadly, the dog decided to leave. T determined that it was very likely a heavily abused animal in the past and hence, why the fear and distrust of people in general.

I recall that T said that one day, the dog just disappeared...he fears that it is likely dead somewhere but knows that at least during its time with him, it was happy and loved.

Yeah I expect to have rasp with PCDs, it's inescapable really unless you put in some resonators but than you change the tone of the exhaust and I'm not about to hack up my $1700 exhaust!

Thanks for the cardboard tip, you're talking about the actual flex portions of the jpipe correct? I'll take a look. I still need to get everything lined up. Once I got all the flanges tightened down I had to drop my sister off at softball practice so I didn't have time to line it all up.

Yes sir, that's Richie's suggestion, BTW. Good luck!

I'm sure once you get under there you'll find a solution. There's always the option of selling the PCD and picking up HFPC. You get CEL's?

Yeah, I get a Bank 1 CEL! That pisses me too too, I hate troubleshooting little issues like this. I've had the CEL since I installed PCDs though. Since it's bank 1, there is the chance that it's fudging with my fuel/air ratio since that O2 sensor is responsible for engine management. I need to get that figured so I see what my car is really running like now that it's nice and opened up.

@ Jeremy...

JJH, the CEL from the O2 sensors is common....I would suggest messing with the angle of the defouler....if that doesnt work, clean the sensors up....my CEL went away when I ran some seafoam and reset my ECU by disconnecting the battery

Thanks for the suggestions Anil. I've got torque pro to wipe codes when need be. I'm going to first try swapping my O2 sensor from my other type-s and see if the CEL comes back. If it doesn't, I'll clean up the bad O2 and see if it throws a code in regular cats in my other car that I'm selling.

These are Andy's old PCDs and he told me that the defoulers were already at the perfect angles so I never messed with them. I'm guessing I got anti seize or something on that O2 sensor and messed it up.

^^^ I know its technically the same thing, but I like disconnecting the battery when it comes to clearing the codes and resetting the ECU....

and anti-seize and o2 sensors dont go well....when I put my sensors in, I made sure to very carefully while putting anti-seize only on the rings of the sensor (same with the defoulers)....

I am hoping the anti-seize you got on there might have burnt off and a mild cleaning will get the O2 sensors back in action....not common for O2 sensors to go out on our cars....I would know i have 175K miles on the car

I'm not saying don't save, but a college fund has shit penalties. Idk.. it just doesn't seem like a good way to save for college because there are too many variables involved.

anyways.. somebody gonna getta hurt real bad!

"son you cant go to college this year since the stocks crashed 2 years back and they havent recouped yet"
Save a little cash.. go buy some depreciating asset at a deflated price, and sell it for profit. Do this a few times a year.. college savings egg. boom.

You like cars, buy some cars. It's easy but takes great discipline. Shoof can probably give you some great pointers. You might end up with a nice toy or at least drive some nice toys before you sell them. I'm considering doing this with the cash I have. Check your state laws, there's probably a limit to the number of times you can do this without having a license.
