Buying younger spawn cheap ass bicycle for 7th bday.
Made in China, supplies have dwindled. I got the last one in his size.
I spent half hour in parking lot, cutting up Home Depot moving boxes to box it up and make it a surprise. Then wife shows the kid the text I sent her with the pic. Facepalm.

I remember my Dad had bought a bike for my Mother for Christmas or her Birthday or something...
He went to great lengths to assemble and hide in shed. As we are walking out I'm like "Mom, Dad got you a BIKE!"
I got some consequences for opening my mouth. I keep waiting for my daughter to fuck some shit up for me as retribution.
With my current relationship...I know to be CLEAR on whether something is a surprise for the kids otherwise she spills the
beans too.

When I was 12 the neighbor kids were selling their Sega Genesis because their parents had bought them a PlayStation.
Dad had me do all sorts of chores for a week so I could get the $30 from him to buy it.
I did something at school a month before Christmas and pops took the Genesis away for me.
He wrapped it up and gave it back to me as my Christmas present.

Just a day of housework and a quick errand -- Little Cha's new glasses arrived at his optician. Back home now...relaxing a bit before dinner.
Probably watch a movie with the wife once the kid's asleep. We'll see. Or, she may choose to read and if that's the case, I'll maybe play some PS4. That's my Saturday.
Tomorrow...quickly see my Mom and let my wife relax given it's her day.
