Maj,

I just finished a podcast revisiting the entire Christopher Dorner case from back in 2013. I'm sure you're familiar with it and I'm sure there was a thread in Ramblings talking about it but I wanted your thoughts on the entire case .

I probably don't know all the details and you may think I'm nutso
But I can relate to that psycho..

You push a good man too far, particularly a man like Dorner, you'll see the wrath
He definitely had an ego and baby sensitivities.. so many different channels for his energy
But he fought the battle he thought he needed to fight and of course he lost
Anyone could have seen that

In terms of his executions and manifesto
He's an idiot.. he could have dropped everyone on that list before they had the drop on him
The way they killed him was technical.. I would have eaten a bullet too.. burning to death is probably the wurst

Sad that his energy went to killing innocents
Real clusterfuck

J.. this one of my faves.. it real is an introduction to Nip.. I post this bitch pretty frequently

[Verse 1: Nipsey Hussle]
I don't want your love
It's not why I make music
I owe myself, I told myself back then that I would do this
And I always look so out of reach
It just seems so confusing
That I felt my place in life
A young black man it's seems so useless
That I don't want no help
Just let me suffer through this
The world would not know Jesus Christ if there was never Judas
This knife that's in my back
It'd be the the truth that introduced us
And the distance inbetween us
It's the proof of my conclusion
So life is what you make it
I hope you make a movement
Hope your opportunity survives the opportunist
Hoping as you walk across the sand you see my shoeprint
And you follow, til it change your life, it's all an evolution
And I hope you find your passion, cause I found mine in this music
But I hope it's not material cause that's all an illusion
And they all in colusion
This racist institution double standard
Acting like they not the reason we ruthless

[Chorus: June Summers]
Tonight is my night
This is my moment
Feeling bigger than life
But I gotta own it
It's a victory
Let's make history

[Verse 2: Nipsey Hussle]
Look at where I started and look at where I'm standing
Y'all can say it's luck
But I know that it's planning
Shout out to the pain
That gave me understanding
Shout out to my gang
It turned me to a savage
So niggas could say what they want to,
But I go through what they haven't
But it's not ego driven, it's not me boasting and bragging
This road I chose to go down
Hard to slow down when in traffic
In order for me to grow I had to let go of some habits
And it's easy to say I'm on now cause you see it, and it happens
But before it ever did I had to believe and get it cracking
So I'm gon take you back then, 32 shots and my mack 10
With a dream minus the means my early teens was fucking tragic
And deep inside my mind is buried crimes you can't imagine
That I wrestle with the night demons that I fight I can't get past it
So no matter how straight your cash get
It don't matter if you plastic
I was looking for the lights and all we stumbled across was flashes
But tonight...

[Chorus]

[Bridge: June Summers]
Bigger than average life
I'm brighter than Vegas lights
Feeling like I can't lose
Any other day I do
It's feels like I'm 8 feet tall
Tonight is my night
For sure, for sure

[Verse 3: Nipsey Hussle]
So if it's meant, than it's gon be
People love it, cause they know it's the real me
The cops hate it, so they hope my homies kill me
But I don't want the fame, I just want y'all to feel me
It's my time, so I'm going in
We ball till we fall, fuck how the story ends
We see these niggas hatin'
I know you hoes plotting
I ain't worried bout it
Cause I know God got me
Say I know God got me
Yeah I know God got me
Yeah I know God got me
See I ain't worried bout it
Cause I know God got me
Once in a lifetime shit you know
Song dedicated to everybody out there with a motherfucking dream
Fuck what they say, do your shit

[Chorus]

Keep in mind that song is nearly 10 years old.. he was on before anyone knew he was on..
That song is truer than ever..

He has some hood hits, but that man only spit the truth, you could say some hood gospel

It's funny, but I really think even amongst his peers like YG.. he made a huge impact.
He made them all better men.

Did you know YG just donated 150k to help teach girls to code.
Not taking anything away from the good work his peers are doing.. but your circle should make you better.
I have to believe Nip was a big part of that movement.. instead of upping and shitting on his peers, new cars, chains, etc
It's like I got this business, I'm hiring people in my community, I'm donating to uplift my people..

Anyways.. bitchasses ain't shit but hos and triccs, licc on my balls and succ my dicc
Poor Tobey

I think you're nutso but not because of this.. I felt the same way..

I've actually been to the parking structure where he executed Monica Quan and her fiance, my college friend was living in that complex at the time.

Why do you call what they did 'technical'? I saw it as an emotional, "let's burn this SOB to the ground" response to the killer of their fellow brothers.

I definitely think that he was wronged in his boarding hearing. I think that there definitely is corruption at the level at which he reported. I don't condone his killings though.. "Two wrongs don't make a right" so to speak. I think if he JUST went after the people who directly wronged him, it would have been more palatable, but going after the daughters and killign some of the other innocent people were not cool. But then again, there were a couple LAPD officers that killed many innocent people who they THOUGHT were Dorner as well (also not cool and a VERY emotional response) .

I'm a BIT surprised that despite having LEO family, you feel that way towards him, and all that shows is that you're a sensible person with the ability to not let his predispositions bias his take on a specific situation.

It's technical because they know it was going to either burn him out to a fodder of bullets or burn him down
They popped burners with precision. I would have done the same thing. Fuck a gun fight.

You have to understand that LE agencies are no different than society except it's more polarizing.
You're definitely not going to click with everyone in the agency. LE agencies attract all types of people.
Many power trip, alpha types, back in the day it was real sexist too. Lots of office affairs and sexual harassment.
Professionalism depended on the supervisor / oic / chief and senior officers.

Plus you have these sociopaths that try to isolate anyone not doing what they're doing.
And if you're the new guy or your energy is righteous and against theirs, there's going to be friction.
Those assholes make it toxic af. But rage quitting isn't viable, we're talking about your passion and livelihood.

My pops had a couple of guys in some offices that were truly fuccbois.
One of them disrespected my pops in a big way and even his day1 ninja didn't defend his honor (bitchass, he dead so whatevs)
My pops was stressed mang, eventually relocated back to da aina where the vibe was right and big promotion.

Anyways I embarrassed the shit out of my pops because I tried to get in a fist fight with that dude.
I was at my pops office and I went straight up to that fuccboi and got in his face, said what's up? step outside pussy.
He nervously laughed and I was about to drop him when pops wrapped me.. got him with some spit backing up (bitch move, but it felt good, he stopped grinning).
Then pops day1 came though like oh shit, I said fuck you flannigan, you fucking snake!

I made things worse obviously and never returned, pops xfer'd within 6 mos.. but all that to say.. I'm with righteousness.
Just because someone carries a badge, don't mean shit to me. I'm always respectful and it's never gone south on me.
I know how hard the job can be and I'm always amazed by the stories my pops and his buddies would tell me, real wild wild west shit.
But I believe if my pops and his besties can be the best and professional though all the shit they go through, so can the rest of them.
I've had some officers disrespect me, but I just smile. Don't get trolled.

So with Dorner, I see him trying to be righteous and doing the right thing, but not compromising
Being on the force, you need to be a team player and play ball or you gonna be on the bench.
You see something wrong, you talk to that person or swallow that shit until it's an ulcer, nothing official.
Seemed like Dorner was trying to swim upstream and we all see how that went.
He would have been a better fit as a FBI Agent. Sucks for all. Fuck his training officer though. Cunt.

One thing I fuccing hated was pops never took any gifts
We were at a burger spot when I was about 10.. and the owner, sweet lady, brought me an orange soda (go ask)
Yo! I lit up like a Christmas tree.. was so happy.

I said thank you!
She saw how happy I was and it made her day as much as it made mine I'm sure.
When I went to drink it, pops stops me.. no, don't drink that, can't accept gifts
Bro.. that still hurts my feelings to this day.

If I was an officer..
Best believe owner of the store gonna treat me
Also why I'm not a occciffer

That's some deep jofo life lesson that's VERY apropos in all aspects of your life right there...
So with Dorner, I see him trying to be righteous and doing the right thing, but not compromising

See, that's how i feel about him as well. I respect his righteousness .. I respect righteousness and crave it as well.. I hope that it won't get me into trouble one of these days but I think the key takeaway is to know when to bite your tongue and compromise.
Otherwise the real world is going to swallow you the fuck up and spit you out.

It's the whole.. Being right is great... but being alive is better.

Nah.. i really do respect the fuck out of LEOs and the shit they have to go through all the time.. I don't know if it has to do with having LEO married in the family.. or just being raised to respect one another

wow, even the G's are wearing mostly suits and plain white shirts.
They probably had a dress code since it would be televised.

Damn, Pops an OG, boyyyyy
Can you imagine 50 years ago telling someone you'd fill a stadium with people for a Eulogy and the speaker would be pausing and looking through her phone casually as fuck looking for her speech?

Just because someone carries a badge, don't mean shit to me. I'm always respectful and it's never gone south on me.
I know how hard the job can be and I'm always amazed by the stories my pops and his buddies would tell me, real wild wild west shit.
But I believe if my pops and his besties can be the best and professional though all the shit they go through, so can the rest of them.
I've had some officers disrespect me, but I just smile. Don't get trolled.
I always respected LE. I never got pulled over for anything I wasn't guilty of doing. In general it's a good idea to be nice to everybody, especially customer service, people that handle your food, or have access to your place or hotel room.

I worked with a lot of former LEOs, both young and retired. The stories they have indeed are some real shit. LEOs and nurses have the darkest senses of humor, but they are funny as hell. But there's some truly evil shit that cops see and can't do anything about sometimes. I mentioned the guy who was one step away from getting caught up in all that Leland Yee BS. When he tried to push the issue, he just kept getting told that "the issue has been taken care of" (hint: it wasn't). tfw a police captain is the son of a Chinatown gang boss

When I was younger and more idealistic, I really considered becoming one. But I'm too soft, I wouldn't be able to tell parents that they need to bury their kid or something. Plus I like my weekends

Worked with a guy who was retired CHP (highway patrol). Was getting more in pension than he got salaried with the PD.

Still, he was diabetic, so I felt really bad for him. Couldn't eat a lot of good stuff, and had cravings all the time. Guy had like a 2hr commute, so what did he do every day on the way home? Poured a beer in his hydroflask, dumped the bottle, and drank the beer on his drive home.

His reasoning... he gets pulled over, it takes a min for the cop to make their way over. He can start chugging as he goes to the shoulder, and there will be no evidence that there was alcohol in the car. If he needs to do a breathalyzer, he'll still be under the limit.

absolute mad lad

Azine isn't a FLOTUS project. There is no #BeBest here... This place is pure #BeWurst.

Aren't we all off the track in life, we are where we are, but where we were was center
We knew who we were and we should get back there before it's all gone
and on the way, get ourselves IS260s, it's numb but aren't we all
We don't want to feel, we just want our trunks filled
