WTF?
Gus is considering selling?
I know you are willing to spend what you have to for what you want.
I don't think there's a better fucking example of the 3G TL done right.
He makes all of mine look like they were clunkers.

I'm not looking to buy immediately. He's not looking to sell immediately, either. If anything, I would buy it in 12-18 months from now. I will putt around in my TL until then. Then it's either I buy a DSG Golf R (it pains me to go automatic), 2016 S4 (final year of the 6MT), or a clean TL-S 6MT (in this case, a SC TL would do just fine ). There really is nothing else out there that interests me.
Thing is... the Golf will be the biggest financial hit and overall loss. I'm hesitant of buying a 4 year old Audi by then. And a clean TL-S is simply non existent in Canada. I've been looking forever, and there's nothing, anywhere. While Gus' car is expensive, it's essentially brand new and will likely have the smallest amount of depreciation, seeing as it's already 14 years old... so it's not a complete ass fucking.
My other issue with new new cars is the more luxury vehicles (audis, bmws, even Acuras (lol), lexus') are all getting to be soft as fuck. I don't like that. The suspensions are getting so advanced, you get less and less feed back from the road. Electric steering. No manuals. Extensive sound deadening. Etc... it's killing everything I love about driving.

Gus sent me a list of everything that's been replaced on the car... holy fuck... you can almost build a second TL
steering wheel, seat leather, shift boot, front cup holders, pretty much every single suspension piece, short block, dash, engine mounts, navigation drive, heater core, blend doors, brake pads, brake hoses and rotors, clutch slave, oem windshield, PCV valve, Bluetooth unit, power steering pump, flywheel, clutch, coilovers, etc.... all oem or high quality aftermarket stuff.
Who pays for an OEM windshield?!? Gus does. That's who.

that's not public info
From my experience, Adam...I wouldn't get the same car twice. That said, if you are hellbent on it, there isn't a better one to buy.
I recall him doing the seats over...oem covering etc...
insane attention to detail.
