Hey, not a bad guess! Went to the local market to pick up some stuff...bought 1.5 pounds of live shrimp which we just ate <belches> steamed a la ponzu and soy/ginger dips...
Also picked up some hotpot ingredients/soup bases. Maybe for later in the week. But, no hoisin bought.

we had hot pot twice this weekend already.. thinking we need to go re-stock as well . Miso base ? I personally love tonkatsu as a hotpot base the most.

Our default lately is the Lee Kum Kee seafood soup base mix. We also picked up from a brand a la tomato and mushroom soup flavors to try. Before my tummy issues, I usually go with the LKK satay mix or a generic sour/picked vegetable and fish (spicy) mix. Sigh.

Instead of a nap, I opened a couple boxes of robots to display and go pew-pew-pew with.

Hell yeah. Wake 'em up with beatings.
WagonJr is back at school now, since October. He does better in the classroom than at home with Prof. Cul0. I was pretty nervous about how he'd handle needing to distance and keep a mask on, but he's surprised the hell out of me by actually seeming to follow directions. I don't want to jinx it, but this might be his best semester evar.
Although, yesterday, I drove him over to school... We typically park about a block away and I'll walk him to the school and we chat about bullshit. Well, yesterday before we leave, he's moping the house around saying he doesn't feel well so I tell him to grab a puke bucket and get in the car. He dry heaves a couple times on the drive but we get there and park. He gets out, takes 2 steps and empties his guts into the bucket.
Turn around and head back home. Sleeps for a couple hours and then is good to go. Poor kid's spirit broke a little when I told him he could power up the computer... And do some classwork since the teacher posts the assignments online too because of the 'rona.
But today is back to school. Puke free and ready to learn.

should have hit him with the
"if you stay home you can help me shave my ARM pits"
but I thought I was your snack pack!
dude, her son had to do 1st twice because he was borderline and his parents figured it was better to make sure he didn't have
a bad foundation for the rest of his formative years...he's been pretty good but with the social distance learning and the stupid fucking
laptop they lent having issues led to him missing shit and his mother having to be IT dept. She finally gets him back up and running
and he has some assignments to make up and while he's supposedly doing that he's also on tricktop or whatever its called on his ipad.
I'm like dude, this ain't for us...if you don't learn some shit it's gonna be you working at Arby's at 50...do you even care?
The girls...ON IT...good grades shit handled. Fucking shit...
Watching them and HIM makes me really appreciate my mother not giving up on
me and drowning me like a cinderblock. Although I was always good at school at least.
I had the same asshole disposition.

I've been saying for years that Jr acts a fool because he'd get bored too easily when he wasn't learning anymore. But then I started to think he had the ADHD... Watching him do the remote learning for a semester, I'm pretty sure it's the boredom. So I'm hoping it finally clicked being back in the classroom and starting to have an appropriate level of intellectual challenge.
But fuck it was a hard few years to this point... fingers crossed it keeps going well. As long as 'rona doesn't radically change everything.

work is cool! was off yesterday for Veterans day.
because we have so many offices and the turn over rate for CPS is pretty high, i'm always traveling to smaller sites to pick up computers and shit. but it's pretty cool because it's not sit down at a desk for 24/7. get to go see shit! lol
a little intimidated at calling clients and helping them through their issues, but with practice and experience I'll get comfortable.
"Cant connect to hotspot"
"well, have you tried turning it off and on again?"

so he knows that when I use a homogeneous second-order linear constant coefficient partial differential equation of elliptic type, and I give him righty with d^2 u / dx^2 plus lefty with the d^2 u / dy^2 ... then the end result is that he's zero.
Fuckin' recognize.

High school was fine. First 2 years of college...ehhhhh...I discovered skipping school and partying was well, who needs skoo?!??
Sadly, that messed up my GPA for med skoo and from there on in, it was comp-sci and then bidness.

Maff was always okay for me. My folks always forced me to learn the curriculum of the "next" year.
That worked until college (per above).

Don't worry about your phone soft skills, you'll develop that with confidence.
In truth, you speak really well and you hide your nervousness with giggles but you
don't need to. Nothing you say sounds or is stupid. You got this.

I remember distinctly the day that differential equations "clicked" (I was in summer school, ironically, because I'd failed the class the first time through) and it was better than sex. At the time.
But now my feeble brain as atrophied to the point where I look at an equation and laugh because there's letters in a number problem. Ain't no one got time for this... That's what we have coops for.

Took me 7 years to get a 4 year degree while working full time and trying to be the Man of the house.
After the first 4 I ended up with a Business AA...went to the College of Engineering and they were like
oh you would basically have to start over...yeah no...so I finished with a Marketing degree and so far
it's served me well...not because I have a great advertising or marketing job but it did give me credibility
and it did make me very aware of myself, as a brand. Which is probably the most important aspect to
marketing anything.
I wish I understood money and how to make it work for you...I know I could but I just don't have the desire...
I just want to order car parts and chat with y'all and do hoodrat shit all day.

I was in middle school and I went to an IB school for French studies...Magnet...
well let me tell you, 6th grade 'Murica math was not quite a good preparation for
7th grade Trig in FRENCH in a class with a bunch of kids that had gone to school
together since Kinder calling you a "Fag" cause you dressed weird cause your hippy
parents let you. Lucky for me I thought fast and decided to emulate the coolest guy
I know...my Dad...quick, "I'm 12, give me an earring like you, Dad"! LMAO, at least
I got lucky and he picked my left ear

Would've been nice to imagine. The money is not terrible but you know, being and all, it could always be more.
Be nice to imagine returning and moving West Coast to torment peeps like @Mizouse , @asianspec , and even you, Hoisin, one day. Mebbe Alphabet or similar...Haha. Sigh. I'm old now though. So...
