Day time.

As much as I hate the general fuckery of the time changes, it sure will be nice for it to actually look like daytime in the mornings.

I really really want the GX470! and then overland that motherfucker out!

I can find them for $6k all day.

Do eeet!

One of my bosses has 2 LCs and a GX; all that same body style. Makes parts commonality a breeze; buy consumables by the case. Always have at least one to drive while working on another. Two other reference points for checking how things should go...

It actually makes a lot of sense.

Shitty thing is that $6k will be the cheapest part. Once you start adding the doodads, that's when dollars start evaporating.

My mom test drove one about 8 years ago. It needed new air shocks at a cost of around $8K.

I also felt it sat too high and upright, however, it is super nice!

yeah, a few grand or more to "overland" it out.
reading and researching further, looks like parts are pretty much swappable from 4runners to FJ cruisers.

shiet, you think I go to the dealership? lol

I would have my TL as a primary car and just wrench on the GX and or vice versa

having more than one car is a game changer for giving you time to do what you want and research and find parts cheaper.

That's why I end up overpaying for everything. No time and living in an apartment in the city.

You have more than one vehicle though, no?
And you could probably work on one of them out back and leave it overnight at the carwash?
Where there's a will there's a way...

Only did that with the alternator a few months ago.

My mom used the RDX to go to work, so I had to take it from here to finish my repair that night, luckily, I was only 15 minutes away.

Carwash I work at is across the lake in Slidell, that's about 37 miles from my door step.

I did get a large promotion a while back, I love my job, it leaves me satisfied at the end of the day.

Gotta evacuate now. Cat 2 on my doorstep.

you'd appreciate this...
I hate being startled so I spent my entire adult life avoiding haunted houses.
Of course the chicks I date love it so I go.
Well yesterday we did a walk in the woods one that was damn good...I wouldn't say
scary per se but they definitely fuckin got me quite a few times. Normally I go through the
warehouse or house ones like a cop clearing a room to ensure I don't get startled but with the
weird lighting in the woods I literally couldn't see them. Fuckers.

Did you shove the women and children at the thing that scared you?

That's what I'd do. Last thing they'd see would be my Yeezey 7s as I sprint off into the distance.

LMAO, they tell us as a couple that at some point a woman will "take" my woman away and if she doesn't follow instructions to a "T" it'll take 45 minutes to be rejoined with me...otherwise it's only 5 minutes.
Then as we walk away the guy tells me they don't really do that but now I should wait for a dark part of the forest and grab her to scare the shit out of her. Mental shit...pretty cool.
No, I walked behind her because she asked me to...

Damn. I'd have been disappointed because I probably would have already started mentally thinking about the 45 minute vacation I'd get to take inside my head.

Nah, no way that bitchass mark trick snitch would ever approach him directly. He'd for sure go right to the proprietor of the haunted house and whine to them like a little babyshit soy boy beta bitch.

What are you guys doing to prevent falling into the doom and gloom of monotony while being locked up in your homes?
Especially with winter approaching?
I'm trying to keep the focus on mental health.

FWIW, (not shocking) I'm rather introverted and so, this lockdown and lack of seeing people has not really affected me too much. I like my "things". So, you know I have an pretty nutbar robot collection...I also build LEGO, play video games, and watch TV shows & sports (which was not available until most of the pro-leagues started again). I also like reading. So, while I have seen some friends here and there and gone for visits, it's at most once every couple of weeks? I do still see my Mom and the wife's folks regularly though.

But yeah...I think really, hobbies are keeping me sane/grounded for the most part. I like the First Lady's company too and when we're both doing our own thing, we are at least in each other's presence...so, I may open a box of mecha and go pew-pew-pew with her yammering with her friends online and/or watching a TV show.

If I do miss something, it's the ability to eat out. We have not gone to any restaurants albeit the one time I met up with Mr. Goat for wings. And of course, we'd really like Little Cha to go back to school too. He should have time with his friends.

bro, you would be shocked to know that's how I am too...
I'm super social but only when I WANT to be. I don't see my Dad much, I see my Mom...
I video chat with people, you know...
other than that...I tinker on my cars and fix shit around the house or fix bicycles etc...
Glad to hear it, H...seriously.

I lost my fucking shit 6 months ago and have been entirely loony toons since then. Quite frankly, I'm afraid for when the real world comes back. I don't think I can handle it.

Probably need either rehab or a couple of cinder blocks.
