The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (ʎluO sɹǝsoo7)
Ugh. When I bought the Wangler, I got to sit in a supra and give 'er some revs. Made my littler pecker hard.
Price tag put the pecker back in retraction.
But I'd be lying if I didn't do some mental gymnastics to figure out the intersection point between not needing a family hauler and when a Supra would hit affordable.

Traded my KBP Type S for a fistful of chump change this evening.
I'm already regrats but a cherry low-miles waterpumper Vee-dub with a trunk will help me heal from this loss.
Buyer is Acura lifer and will take excellent care of it. He was seeking Carbon Bronze but could not resist how flippin' shiiiiiiiiny I made the Kinetic Blue over the weekend. That and he liked the RV6 hfc's and Endless V3 J-crackpipe sound and pull.
I will still check in on you Tobeys & Richards.

down to Carbon Bronze being my top choice...
it certainly does sound like me.
But no, I'm done with 3G for now.
I'm sure they will depreciation more to the
point where a 6MT will come across at a price
I can't turn down.

.. So I asked her "Why do we need a Supra?!?" (knowing the prices). She replies "You barely enjoy the TL and don't want anyone in the back seat, so why not just buy your dream car??" I'm thinking, this is some kind of trap.. Then she says "once you're done modifying it, I can take it to work" .
I think buying my wife the M40i was a bad idea.

The very best rental car I ever had (out of a hundred plus from traveling for my old job) was a week with a Canadian market 6th gen 1.4t Jetta Wolfsburg edition. I absolutely loved that chassis & handling as well as the interior and ergonomics. So the 2.0t GLI hot version is a no-brainer for me-likey-lots.
Basically I was cured of project car fever by getting new car fever.

Going to test drive a red 6th gen Jetta GLI SEL with a mere 18k miles at a big VW dealer who also has a bunch of heavily discounted new 7th gen Jetta GLI S (base model)s in stock including that hhhnnnnggg Audi grey color. Stretch goal is pressure salesweasel to sell me a new grey one for the price of the used, most likely outcome is just buying the used one. Also there's a 22k mile black and a 31k mile white 6th gen GLIs locally as backup plans. All DSG because I am live in bad traffic.

I'll probably end up having to sell the Volcano red S4 but that DSG is an absolute delight.
but yeah, when I saw the dude get into the Jeep, I was like...uhhh why clever girl, dude?
but he bought it like that, so...

I do get chub for the GTI's plaid interior, but I need a sedan that doesn't come with the hipster/Euro-ricer/hotboi tax of the hatchback.

what's your budget and expectation?
Why are you sold on German?
Curious since you seemed so ready to give up the type S.
I can relate btw but I'm curious to hear why from your perspective.
Dude... Have you ever seen the first Jurassic Park? The clever girl reference goes back much further than ChrisPrattsic Park
