Hurt my neck/shoulder over the weekend trying to help the in-laws do two valve cover gasket replacements on their cars so been trying to slowly recover from that.. MY PT friend says I may be pinching a nerve and exacerbating an already bad posture problem by always being on a computer so have taken a few half days this week just to rest. Getting old sucks, yo..
i swear...as we get older we really should yoga

Yeah have a Theragun and also some cold pads (read: frozen dumplings in the freezer)
my PT friend says all those years working on a computer and having bad posture is catching up to me and I need to re-train it.. sleeping has been a bitch as I keep having this numbing pain down my right arm
She did also give me a few training exercises to fix this.. let's see how it goes

If you’re WFH, why don’t you set up a real work space at home? A sit stand desk and ergo chair does wonders.

I suppose if I ever stop being a chip bastid, I'll buy some Herman Mirrer chairs (need two) and put those in. For now, working on the island is fine and pretty comfortable. All my years in consulting work has me pretty comfy working directly off of a laptop...even if the work issued Dell Lat sucks gonads.

My only peripherals are an external mouse and 2 cables -- 1 for power and the other to charge my 2 phones (1 work phone and 1 personal -- I alternate).

I can’t imagine that being comfortable long term. But ok.

It's not bad -- been on this island setup for close to a year now that we're well into Year 2+ of the new way of working (thanks to Trumpvid-19). Year 1 when it all started was at the dining table but the dining chairs are too soft and actually gave me sciatica.

Our decor doesn't really have a spot for that unless you count the L-shaped setup in the family room where the home PC is.

Try a MacBook Pro, it'll be much better for you

Though, on a personal level, I do need a new notebook as my Vaio Z is almost 10 years old (though, it has an i7!). Waiting for the XPS 13 Plus to launch up here in Socialist Land and likely buying it...

Life's pluggin' along. Kid's good..keeping him happy which is all that matters, I think. First Lady is well though her job gives her lots of aches and pains (she's a hygienist). Got her a spa day coming up later in May to hopefully get those healed up a bit.
S5? Well, I posted it my thread about the car...Otherwise, lovin' it.

Wife is a DH!? My Mom did that for 40 years...biggest killer has been her hearing from the use of the old school cavitron.
Keeping Daddy happy is number one...if you are, the kid will inherently be also.
