dealing with snow does suck sometimes, but dealing with people that can't drive in said snow is 100x worse. although, I look forward to winter so that I can go snowboarding. there's nothin like a bluebird day riding around, jibbin some rails and boxes, and hanging with your homies. it just puts the mind at ease.
I'm getting older though and the falling part seems to hurt more and more each time, so in a yr or so I plan on relocating to the Carolinas. I haven't quite decided which one yet, but they seem to be where I could end up.
any thoughts from the Carolina residents on here on which one to choose?
anyhow, on a more car-related topic. this winter the TL sits in the garage while I am carted around by my mother(no license-loooong story) and her nice set of Blizzaks.

I'm going to sound bias but I say North Carolina. 2 hours east of Raleigh is the beach and 3 hours west are the mountains. Plus you're pretty much in the middle of the eastern seaboard so whether you decide to visit a state north or south, the drive isn't too bad. I can get to NY in the same amount of time I can get to FL.

I always like going to wrestling camp @ Appalachian State in Boone NC.
The smokies are just awesome.
My brief experience with South Carolina would force me to not want to move there unless close Myrtle Beach.
I would say NC as well on the eastern side as well.

I'm more of an eastern Tennessee man myself.. not that there's much difference in scenery. I enjoy staying around Tellico Plains and enjoying the Cherohala Skyway and Deals Gap, as well as the surrounding area.

Did enjoy it but the in-laws live there so kinda killed it for me. My wife is from Talbott (thats where I met her anyway)
I am more of a Florida person though. That is where I plan to move in the next year or so.
Not sure if its southern people or just the way of life there. Just hate the humidity.

I'm in between Florida and Virginia all the time. Mainly Florida for now. Things you'll miss from Tennessee is the lower taxes on everything, lack of traffic, curvy roads, friendly people and change in seasons (especially fall). If you hate humidity, I'm not sure why you're considering Florida LOL Furthermore, not sure if you have children but I would never move to Florida with kids. The education system here is an absolute joke and is in constant financial turmoil.
All of that being said, I've never lived in Tennessee. I stay with close friends and such. However, I would love to retire to the Knoxville/Maryville area but time will tell.

Yeah I partied my ass off in Knoxville in college years.
Pensacola actually has some really high rated schools and very good neighborhoods. Plus I have family down there now and would put my kids 8 hours away from their other grandparents and not the 22 hours we are now.
Plus I will be able to work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off so 6 months in Florida a year and 6 months either Alaska or off-shore or somewhere else.
I worked in Virginia when younger. Richmond, Roanoake, Fredricksburg, Va beach, Newport News Chesapeake. And while beautiful country I would never live there.
TN is a cheaper state to live in but jobs are difficult to find.

If i continue to live in FL i rather my kids grow up in the Panhandle in the next county over. Nothing wrong with P-cola, just I lived in the next county over my whole life and Pensacola is too busy for me. Now if I need to go to the mall or any nightlife, just drive across the bridge. Now I do like the beach. I can see myself owning a place on the beach. Definitely in my dreams. I'm dreaming about it now.

didnt get a chance to really look into it closely because of tint/doors never open. but i could see by just walking around it was completely gutted with racing seats. couldnt see a harness system so it appeared that the seats were just bolted down with no harness to keep the driver in place. i may be wrong but you can usually see when someone does it right with racing seats and now im not saying that doing a weight reduction is bad. I love the cars on this forum that have taken the TL diet to new levels but this was different. I have a ton of respect those guys like Inaccurate, vill0169, and accuratein who have done severe weight reduction the right way. this was done the wrong way. i did like the shift knob that he had
