I figured replacing just the bushing was the way to go. Rent or buy a pittman puller and find a shop to press in new bushings. I'm on page 16 now. Looking forward to getting to the tool you speak of.

I can build one for you. I have to go to florida to drop off another one this spring for my brother. Maybe pick up my food saver then as well.

The last 2 I built averaged around $1100.00. Found some ammo FTF in Houston you would just have to find mags.

I do know a local gunsmith though that is the IT person at work. He is a gun nut and reloader as well. Our 19 yo dispatcher is a long distance competitive shooter as well.

But if you want a small pistol look at the Ruger LCP or LCR.
There are some other sub-compacts out there as well that are real nice.

The LCP is nice, ive had it for almost 2 years now. Nice and compact, but if you ever had to shoot it for self defense, its painful to shoot. It is at least 3 times as loud as my sig sauer p229 .40. Bottom line, if you want something to have on you with minimal weight, its perfect, Just hope you never have to shoot it without ear protection lol
