I've been travelling through Mass / Boston / NYC

Rented a '12 Maxima in Boston, put 2k miles on it in 4 days.

My dad has a '09 and as nice as it is, the CVT takes a lot away from the driving experience IMO. I'm not sure how it's still branded as the "4 Door Sports Car" with no MT offering

Well if special relativity holds true.. at one point an observer could have seen the Maxima as 12' by the way I was driving it..

Yes, vaca. My family is from SoCal, so.. no.
NYC and Boston were great.

I actually enjoyed driving the Maxima. I dogged it out a bit, but of course filled it with premium. It had plenty of power even with 5 people in it, unlike the TL. CVT takes some time getting used to.. found it best to let it do the job itself other than engine braking. Rear wanted to get loose when passing. I probably avg'd 85 on the turnpike. It wanted to go..

I expected the '12 to have the 3.7.. I guess not until the new gen.

I had a choice between Max, Taurus and 300C. The 300C was so luxurious. If it wasn't such a brick, I would have picked it. Taurus interested me because of the turbo, but I know the variant.. still underpowered. Maxima was the driver's pick.

Just the wife and I most of the time.. it's made for 4, but fit 5 fine. I'm not sure any of them were built for 5, they were all about the same.

Yes indeed. I asked for just a little mayo and in typical subway fashion they squirted like half a pound of mayo on it and i was like yeaaaa that's a little too much .
