installed my new headlights, hids, switchbacks, aspec lip and domed decal today. Was a very long and boring process but the final outcome is well worth it.

I will get some pics tomorrow. I have tape on the bumper where i added double sided tape and want to make sure it sticks. Also need to wash the car. I got dirty hand marks all over the front.

it took me two days for the lights because of improper tools (i moved and half my shit is in storage) first day did one light and bothered Bruce for hours on stupid questions. Went at it today with a 1/4 ratchet and was done in 1 1/2 for both sides.

Here is the worst part. Currently I am staying in an extended stay place til my new apartment is ready, so I had to drive it to a local park (where i wouldnt be bothered) and did everything there. Well coming to the aspec front install, not enough clearance for the drill...the curbs are at a 45+ angle so i drove the car up on one side drilled then turned it around to do the other side. Shitty day but one the final piece of the lip was on and the lights were seated properly I lit up.

The brakes and tein ss should be on next week.
Also the custom tails should be in around then too.

My plans for the upcoming couple months are headlight mod and lens replacement, exhaust wrap the pcd's and jpipe, install the dynomax resonator and do the stage 3 exhaust, and then wrap the rest of the exhaust. Coilovers, and hopefully tires. just a couple things on the list lol

 

Meh, checked the oil today as the oil life meter hit 5% life remaining. I was about a quart low on oil :/

It's been roughly 9-10k miles since my last change. Running Redline 5W-30 + Royal Purple filter. Think I should be concerned?

I've got oil and new filter on the way from Amazon.

 

if it were me, i would get a quart of mobil1 5w-30 and put it in there. better to have the right amount of oil than care about mixing mobil1 and redline. Youre going to be draining it as soon as you get the new stuff in the mail.

On a side note though, I would make sure that if i was using oil and filters i had to order, i would have the next oil change ready in my garage before this point and maybe a spare quart or two of oil just in case. You never know when something like this is going to happen. Plus, I dont care (and i know people are going to disagree) how many miles oil companies say you can go without changing your oil, mine gets changes every 5000 miles religiously no matter what.
