dumb.
what does it matter if we have side conversations in our threads? oh that's right...it doesn't.
yet, to those with the ability to strike with an iron fist...it's a huge deal and we must be used as examples to others.
i'm a vendor and chapter leader on this forum and this is just bad form, plain and simple.

I've NEVER had a problem with that thread. No one has ever come in and complained, including other moderators. Now all of a sudden it's a problem and needs to be cleaned up, and for what purpose? It's not like people rush to join AZ to look at just my thread and find important information. If they have a question they want to ask, they PM me. I get at least a few PMs a week asking about wheels and fitment and such and I ALWAYS help, despite what my thread is doing at the time.
In no way does that thread contain stuff that threatens the 3G TL side or anything else on Acurazine. It's just a group of people who share the same passion for cars and enjoy talking to each other.

Show me other threads that has this sort of silliness.
If they are lingering it is because moderators do not see all threads. But, in more populated sub-forums (i.e. Ramblings and other OT areas), staying on-topic is often quite enforced.
General chatter and the smart-alecking antics you guys seem to enjoy are designated in "chat" threads. You guys already have that...not sure what you are unhappy about.

It's not, I know I'm not a moderator, BUT I can post pictures or something to divert the topic at hand.

I already told you the reasons. You just didn't get reprimanded earlier because no one really noticed until recently.
And as a bit of history, in the past, this sort of thing would've been given vacations. Be happy soopa et al have retired.

Have you seen this new feature on here yum? It's called multi-quote, and it allows you to quote multiple people in one post, that way you aren't clogging up the board with more posts than it should have.

Then, by all means complain to others in management and see what you get.

No, I'm sure plenty of people noticed the thread, but it didn't personally bother them so they didn't say anything.
Since when is there a limit on how much someone can post in one thread? Or how many "thanks" can be given out?
I'm not posting spam and malware like JJH, or porn links, or posting disgusting pictures in my thread. I post pictures of cars and my dog, continued by random BS talk.
AZ is THE best forum I'm a part of and it's sad that I have to defend my thread and the people who are a part of it.

let's face it. most of the guys who post in this particular thread (and the ones that were abruptly closed) contribute more to this forum (and the 3G section) than anyone does. we answer questions, respond to countless PM's, and most of us have gained friendships because of our collective interest in the acura tl. closing and locking the threads they have built for many years is nothing more than a power trip. like a security guard finally getting promoted and given a taser.

Wow, dude...You are so far from the truth.
If it was a power-trip, I would've banned the culprits in those threads and deleted all the OT stuff. And kept JJH banned.
But, thanks for the chuckle.

I was just pointing out that if I deleted OT posts in there, I may hurt some feelings potentially. You just picked up on it.
The issue with JJH is in some ways, outside my control and I explained my actions for lifting his ban. If you really have issues with his return, you need to vet it with the higher ups, like Ron A, astro, or Sly Raskal.
Your thread got locked not in isolation...as I said, there was discussion on what needed to be done. I already told you I rarely act on my own decisions without consulting with the rest of the moderator team. So, please don't think you're so special that I will go and single you out. I honestly hardly know you.

Does anyone else hate when some mf'r packs in there spot at work? I've been parking in the same spot for almost 5 yrs now everyday. One side is a curb and grass so no one will ding my shit and the other side is a spot but it's small like smart car small. This lady I work with decided after 15 yrs that she should park where I have been. I understand that it's a public parking lot but it annoys the hell out of me because if I don't park there which is maybe 3-5 times a year then I park in the back. This lady has a beater accord which is covered in dents. I want to pull my hair out about it cause it logically makes no sense for her to start parking in the super small spot next to mine. When she does and I park in my spot there is no room for her to get in/out of her car easily. So today I get to work and not only does she park in that spot again but she is crossing the line this time. So she parks in a spot not big enough for her car and then wastes the spot tht I park in. Wtf, she is driving me nuts. Anyone else experience this? I was thinking of putting a note on her car that says "you suck at parking" but that would be immature.

Yummy you locked my thread WITHOUT A WARNING VIA PM.
You posted BS and then locked it. That's not right and you know it.

If you guys want to be all high and mighty...
May I add that technically, per the forum rules, the "culprits" were entitled to a warning via PM before any action (ban, locking) takes place.
Read the rules? Just sayin'

Wow, you are mad. Over a thread. Did I not post earlier that there was alot of PWing there and that it needed to stop?
I already told you I did not realize what thread I was in until I posted...and then, forgot. That thread has since been removed.
And we reopened your thread. What are you ape-sh*t angry about now?

Again, if anyone was allegedly "owed" a PM, it was the OP...but, as I said earlier, I posted a warning earlier anyhow. I locked the thread and consulted the rest of the team and we all agreed on next steps.
Steven was given the keys, reopened the thread and posted a notice.
If you guys are still e-angry over this, by all means, PM Ron A et al.
