Google maps is A+. Reminds me of Verizon Navigator which i had many many moons ago and paid $10 extra a month for.

Also, like the mobile tethering. The FREE mobile tethering. Not to mention the ability to share, send/receive apps via email both saving a crap load of money & opens a world of opportunity to add on "adult" apps, (which is a no-go in apple app store)

Constantly having to hit the 1 little circle button to do anything drove me nuts. I like the menu, home, back & search options that i can activate even while using an app.

I did like the fact that u can send a whole video via iphone tho. My Android only allows bits & chunks.

I must admit that i had to YouTube this to get a concept of how it worked LOL. Looks awesome but down here we usually only get 1 snow storm a year and it stays way under a foot. If i still lived up north id def invest in one. Is electric better than one that runs on gas? We bought an electric mower thinking it'd be better but its a PITA moving the cord each and every go around. :/

Electric mowers are ok for small (Re: really small) yards. Theyre too much of a hassle for anything else.

And I hate shoveling snow. Those blizzards we got back in '09 killed me Im hoping for another mild winter.

09? Oh hell yes. My husband & i drove from NC to NY in it with 2 screaming little kids, 1 of which was potty training & the other in diapers. Our usual 8 or 9 hour drive ended up being 23 and a half straight hours in an 06 honda civic. A trip i will NEVER forget lol

We might have been crawling along next to each other! I was picking my CL up from my friends up in Northern VA the night that first storm hit - mid December IIRC. Traffic heading up there (being a Friday) was insane so that set us back a good hour. Then the snow started to fall earlier then expected. A 2.5hr drive took 10hrs. The best part? I fell asleep for about 30 minutes on I95, when I woke up I just couldnt take it anymore, managed to turn around and drive the wrong way down an entrance ramp, AND THE SURFACE ROADS WERE PLOWED. WTF? I95 was completely shut down because they couldnt clear it fast enough, but all the side streets were salted and plowed. Fuck you VDOT

The funny thing was I tried calling my brother (who brought me up to Northern VA and was following me home) but his iphone (he had the 3gs) wasnt working. Im not making that up either

Could be! I don't remember exactly what day we went up, but we came back the day after Christmas so it was prob like 10-14 days earlier. And funny u bring up the iphone. I managed to get us lost right outside of DC and my phone was dead so tried using the hubs and his iPhone had no service. Shocker LOL. In retrospective it prob wasn't smart to go in the first place but it was the first major holiday i lived down here and was homesick and missing my parents definitely scarred me for life. I completely refuse to go up any month besides june-sept now- no possibility of snow LOL

Sorry Yummy......(this was on the front page of USA Today)

http://www.usatoday.com/money/busine...all/57833450/1

Apple's iPhone 5 may buoy weak economy this fall

If the U.S. economy looks a little merrier this December, its Santa Claus will be the iPhone 5.
U.S. sales of Apple's latest must-have gadget could pump more than $3 billion into the economy by year's end, say some economists and technology analysts.
All told, the iPhone 5 could add a quarter-percentage point to the U.S. economy's growth in the next three months, says Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics.
The phones went on sale Friday. Many stores were sold out Sunday and were awaiting new shipments. Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster estimated Apple sold 8 million phones since sales began Friday.
Apple is expected to report official weekend sales figures Monday.
Munster's estimate could mean pre-sale estimates of the iPhone 5's economic impact were too conservative. JPMorgan Chase analysts had estimated earlier this month that about 8 million iPhone 5s would be sold in the U.S. through Dec. 31, enough to add a third of a percentage point to the economy's annual growth rate in the fourth quarter.
Wherever sales end up this year, it doesn't mean the iPhone 5 alone will revive the sluggish economy. "Some of the increased spending on iPhones will be offset by less spending on other things," Zandi says.
Even with the iPhone's contribution, the U.S. economy is only expected to grow at a weak annual rate of 2% to 2.5% in the October-December period, Zandi says. JPMorgan Chase estimates a 2% growth rate. But it should counter the negative effects of this summer's drought on consumer spending growth.
JPMorgan analyst Michael Feroli says his estimate for the iPhone 5's economic impact appears reasonable based on previous iPhone introductions.
When the iPhone 4s went on sale last October, online sales and computer and software sales had their largest monthly increase on record, he points out in his iPhone 5 report.
Feroli calculates last year's iPhone added 0.1 to 0.2 of a percentage point to the economy's growth in last year's fourth quarter. And the iPhone 5's launch is expected to be much larger.
In addition to iPhone sales, the new product's arrival will also spur demand for new phone cases, chargers and other accessories.
One place the iPhone's impact is clear is in the stock market.
Apple's shares are up 74% this year, after rising $1.40 on Friday to close at $700.10. Its $278 billion gain in stock market value this year exceeds rival Microsoft's total market value of $261 billion.
Apple's gain represents 12% of this year's boost in the Standard & Poor's 500-stock index, said Howard Silverblatt, senior index analyst at S&P/Dow Jones Indices. Its surge also accounts for 44% of the gains by the 71 technology companies in the index.

Dunno. We don't have gophers here. Dillos have one big burrough that the live in then they run around and dig many many many little holes to get to bugs and worms below the surface. I'll snap a pic of my yard sometime. They have trashed my sod. My yard is slowly turning into a mud pit.

from Wiki
Gophers create a large community of tunnels with large mounds of dirt (not always mounds of dirt at the top) at their entrances, frequently referred to as gopher towns or gopher holes. They are also found in parks. Adult gophers will frequently stand watch at the entrance to a tunnel and whistle when predators are spotted, causing all the other gophers to run for the safety of the tunnels. A gopher town can easily spread to take over large sections of prairie or mountain meadow and may have a population in the thousands. The resulting destruction of plant life will then leave the area a stretch of denuded dirt. Gophers eat shrubs and other vegetables such as carrots, lettuce, radishes, and any other vegetables with juice.
so they sound the same as far as destruction
