And to be honest, as much as I hate Apple, my Sammy Galaxy S3 has not been a bed of roses...some software issues has been driving me batty for the first month of ownership.
Hope all the issues are now resolved.

Minivan??? Arrrrrrg no! That is a worse word than any type of profanity in my house LOL. My husband begged me to buy one when i was trading in my civic (expecting my 3rd child). I was completely against it and settled for a crossover. That proved itself useless tho. The 3rd row was great but the trunk room stunk, could barely fit a stroller in it yet alone groceries, luggage, etc. No pick up, horrid gas milage, the list goes on... having your first i would never consider it, only reason i did was because 3 car seats across is a bitch, but then i found the TL which does it with ease, along with a huge trunk that o i can fit a double stroller, playpen, etc. My oldest is growing like a weed so im sure he is going to need more legroom soon, im thinking an excursion. Anything's better than the "M" word hahha
My odyssey has been great. Have a little over 200k miles on it. About to do the 2nd timing belt job on it in about 20k miles (1st was at 140k).
But I would stay away from an Excursion. They quit making them 7 years ago and the dealer is no longer required to carry parts for them anymore. And they aren't that common to get parts in junkyards. I was looking at those a couple years ago.
We are looking at yukon xl or denali to replace the van when time comes. Plenty of room front and back. Common for replacement parts etc.
Gas mileage is gonna suck regardless of what you step up to when you go into that class.
However I would much rather own a ford vs. chevy but somehow I have justified a GMC to myself.
But 5 kids is a little more than my TL will ever handle.
2012 hasnt been kind to me and my G-ride.
finally got her back on the road!

What's the story on Crabby's TL...?
Cliffs
Dec.29th - one vehicle accident with a curb.
after 4 long months of dealing with insurance, i finally get car back.
not even 2 months later, I destroy tranny mount.
and a brake problem develops.
after waiting three weeks for parts, she's finally back.
:wipes brow: WHEW!

Burning Brakes
Nope, not scared yet. I grew up with an older brother and have been desensitized to anything & everything a man could possibly say growing up hahaha. I like to think of it as a good thing, but in all probability it prob works against me. I'm the kind of woman who sees a chick with a fat booty walking by and forces my husband to look at it hahahha.

I am a huge fan of the Denali tho, my cousin's husband has one and it is a beauty.
I tend to have a complex when it comes to cars tho. I started driving 8 yrs ago and have owned 10 cars, i have automobile ADD if u will lol. Honda is the only company that has reoccurred which is why i went with Acura this time around. I'm still learning everyday about the TL which is why i think i enjoy it. I find a new thing to ooh and ahh about so i feel like I'm driving the car for the first time. (It took me 6 months to realize that it has voice command rotfl).
the wet and cold conditions paired with my bald summer tires didnt help either.
I mentioned i had trouble with my insurance company...
took it to a "preferred shop" through insurance.
More like incompetent shop.
since, i'm young, they thought they could hustle me.
shop said, "car is all done"
i inspected and complained of a noise.
shop said "oh it'll get better over time."
I accepted the vehicle, only to take it back a week later.
mind you, they tout "if anything is wrong, we'll fix it for the life of the vehicle"
they got it back on the lift and saw damage, and tried to say i incurred additional damage to the rear subframe.
No. my car isnt a daily. I barely drove it that one week i had it.
plus, the rear subframe sits HIGH up.
if the car is traveling straight, how does the HIGHEST part of the vehicle get damaged when the front had none!?!?!?!??!?!?!?
So, after arguing for like 2 months with nothing being done to the car, I filed a complaint with the texas department of insurance.
that got them moving.
I get the report back and it says:
we waived the additional claim because we're nice people.
GTFO!!!!
I didnt damage it, AGAIN. lol
anyway, I PULLED IT OUT OF THE SHOP and took it to NSPEC4YA's friend.
he was only allowed to work on the back end.
but he told me...."justin, the first shop bragged to me that they found a torn mount but did not replace it"
and what does any boy do when he gets his car back?
he abuses it.
so, I'm launching the car hard, and RIPPPPPP!!!!!!
tranny mount rips.

Ugh. Car horror stories glad u got it back tho!
It's situations like that where i can justify you telling a white lie tho- tell them ur bro or dad is a mechanic and you only went to them bc the insurance won't pay ur fam member.
Quite often my husband gets lazy. He has mechanic certification but quite often the man of my dreams doesn't have the time &/or patients to work on my car. So i bring it in & they give me a whole laundry list of things that need to be fixed or replaced (because we all know women are the easiest targets for this.) Well after me saying "ehh that could wait" and them assuring me it can't for 10 min, i say "well i will go have my mechanic husband check it out & come back later on for the labor"... that's when their story changes and all of a sudden i only need an oil change which is what i stated in the first place.

So true. I have been driving a bit longer than that but have owned and or possessed around 25 honda's in my last 10 years.
Honda cars and Ford trucks is usually whats in my stable.
2003 Odyssey
2007 TL
2000 F150
currently resides.
As soon as the TL is paid off the van is going to be replaced by hopefully then a 10-12 suburban or yukon xl.
But I will trade that to move to Florida in the next 2 years and keep maint up on van and push it to 350k miles.

I personally don't hold loyalty towards a manufacturer. Each time I purchase a car, I consider what are the features I must have...then, scour the market on what cars has those features and then, test drive, and well, $ talks after that.
