Looks pretty good, didn't realize you had a different exhaust.
Why no plans for A-Spec?

Speaking of cars, my FX has a continuous SES light warning that keeps popping up. Annoying.
So far, warranty is taking care of it...but, this is driving me crazy. It usually means something is wrong with the gas cap but it is on and tests at the dealership have shown that the sensor there is fine. I always make sure to get the clicks when I tighten the cap as well...
So, it may have something to do with the emissions. Still, not sure since they have all turned out okay. Swapped out the computer and even got a new battery (free)...And voila, light back on.
The pattern is that it usually happens after a large temperature drop and/or exposure to alot of water. The night prior to the light going on, it was a very hot day and then in the evening, a big-time rain storm hit and dropped the temperature around here by a few notches. I drove back home in some heavy rainfall.
Next day: SES light. This has happened before as well during the winter when I have washed my car (touchless gas stations) and then, next day...SES light.
ARGH. I love cars and sometimes...hate cars.

, just not on the list. I never really paid that close attention to it. Ideally I'd like a RJ front end, and aspec rear, but that was when I had my stock bumper. I dont even know what the type s rear aspec looks like. I'm not a fan of the type S front one, the one that goes around the ACURA lettering in the bumper.

Yumcha, it sounds almost like humidity is your enemy with that SES light.

I pick the car up at the dealer this morning and pay the $615 for the repair, tire rotation, and oil change and the service manager mentions to me that my battery is nearing the end of its life and that they would replace it for $199 but my dad said no since we have our battery under warranty with AAA.
Anyways, I pull over to fill up my tank and I notice the red battery light came on when I turned the car back on. I figured it was just a sign that I need to replace the battery and since I was only a couple miles from my house, I drove home. I was hearing the weirdest whinning noise coming from the engine so I'm freaking out at this point. I get home safely and call AAA.
The guy from AAA comes and does a bunch of tests and tells me that my alternator is bad and that voids the warranty on our AAA battery. He tells me the car is in no shape for driving and that it has to be towed to the dealer (which is a Honda dealer).
Well it would help if the dealer was open, which it isn't, so now I have to wait until Monday before I can get the car towed. The service department estimated the final cost to be around $500 which blows most of my summer savings.
If it helps any, my extended warranty expired July 21st, which would have covered the damn alternator and lower control arms.

Why are you doing this otherwise easy driveway work at the dealer?
I know its in the past, but the front lower arm is $270 online and isn't difficult to replace. Tire rotation is free if you have a jack and stands.
A remanufactured alternator from Rock Auto is anywhere from $160 to $300. You can get one from Advance Auto for $270 to $370. Replacement will take about 2-3 hours at most.
You no longer have a warranty on the car, so why get raped without lube?

Haha I know but as much as I'd like to think that I am mechanically inclined, I'm not nor is anyone in my family. I don't mind paying to go to the dealer to get it done it's just the situation in its entirety that gets me pissed. My dad is helping me cover some of the costs since he feels bad about not extending the extended warranty with CarMax when he had the choice.
Shit happens I guess

IDK man, getting charged that much by the dealer would make me read up on these things and tackle them myself.
I think for Christmas your dad should get you a shop manual

To each his own. (Think that's the saying...) lol
It reminds me of the Type-S knob and I got it for nearly half the price of what they retail for. I like it. I plan on doing CF on my interior anyway.
For Christmas I want my dad to get all his work stuff out of the garage and give the garage to me my TL needs a place to sleep at night. And it'd be nice to have the tools and a place to work in.

Well I know it was bumped up a little but didnt complain since they told me I was getting the last one in my area Until November. msrp was 24,200 but my total was 25,270. I didnt care cause they decided to take care of the payments on my solara (I owed 8600 and trade in was less than that). Im getting the Whiteout color so it ended up working beautifully. there was actually 2 more people walking in asking for one and they kept pointing at me. But yea the cost was 25,270.
I will admit, its gunna be weird showing up in the FR-S forum to a bunch of other people.

Yup ask for tools for xmas. Or use the money u saved at the dealership and buy some tools.
Very basic hand tools can tackle an alternator job.
Otherwise that sucks.
This week might not be so bad after all. Going back out and just got to the yard. Will have to push leaving for Florida til noonish monday but gonna end up with around 85 hours this week.
So that is around 225 hours for this pay period plus my quarter bonus on this check.
Gonna end up paying around 2000.00 just in taxes. Plus the 22% that goes to stock purchase and 401k.
