Exclamation 3G Acura TL NEED HELP!!

Pretty new to AZ, but just wanted some Ideas/suggestions on "What should I do to my bone stock TL?"

I've had this car for about 5 years now... and thought about selling it for a type-s modal or a Subi wrx, but my parents didn't want a type-s or sell the car. Lol... so i'm pretty much stuck with this car.

Just wanted some ideas on how to make the exterior of my 05 Acura TL look nice with out making it look riced out haha, but I had my own thoughts about putting a full A-spec kit, tint windows, add type-s tail lights, and also adding a 07 base front end conversion. I already some type of chrome rims on it not sure what they're called or if they're oem rims.

Here is a picture of my TL, sorry it's not a full car picture never had the time of taking pictures of it.

Sounds like you already have your future mod list planned out.

Honestly though, not everybody has the same "to do" list for their cars. That being said, your question "What should I do to my bone stock TL?" is very broad. What are your goals? What do you want to achieve from modding your car?

I think you have a great list. Maybe not in that order, but it's definitely a good plan.

Get some type-S tail-lights and rear sidemarkers, clear out or blackout the headlights, get the 07+ A-Spec kit for your car and also some front fog lights. Look into a suspension (IE Drop it) and some new wheels. Do the usual AV upgrades like a better sound system, the DVD on nav screen, ipod hookup, etc.

I think tinting would be a great start! Do you know what the tint laws are in your state?

It's entirely up to you on what mods you want to do first. I think the 3rd gen TL looks aggressive even if it's stock.

I think the group buy on this forum for the a-spec kit is the best deal i've seen, much cheaper than what my local dealer was charging.

Not sure why your after the 07 Aspec front end, most people prefer the prior model Aspec front. fog lights can be added if thats what your after? Tints are a good start. and aspec is always a great choice. I would save your money to help pay for college, and after your working then mod your car.

Pretty much after fog lights on the bottom, not really feeling the fog lights with the headlights.

Do you know if i'll be able to add fog lights on a 05 front end? instead of having it in the head lights?

I just want tinted windows for now, and some new rims at least getting tired of chrome look with the RRP color.

Gather up that dough? My friend, sorry for being rude, but it seems like your in a car that you would never be able to afford without mommy or daddy. Which is a bad combo when you are in a luxury sedan that is not meant for hardcore driving especially in the base model, unless of course you follow through with hardcore mods = $$$$$$$$$

You want a legit exhaust kit with no drama, rasp, leaks, and other bs that comes with frankenstein set-ups = 2K No Way Out
Cold Air Intake Comes stock with your car.
Now, what is left? your pretty much left to stupid expensive mods or blowing money for no reason

As many have said stick to the physical mods, appearance does ad a kick and you are in a beautiful car.

Stop wasting your time reading all these comments, go into the forums and check out what people do and the general cost to give you an idea of what is going to happen or not happen to your vehicle.
***I would extremely hope that you have some basic knowledge about a vehicles motor function from beginning to the end; out the exhaust. To properly use the search function, which you must use! to save us from spam and stupidity; every question you have has probably already been answered.

Give the kid a break. He's new to the forums and he asked a genuine question. I don't think you have the right to lash out at him about his money situation.

That being said, OP, I highly suggest you follow through with the tinted windows. It will do wonders to the car. Also, you CAN add lower fogs to an '05 bumper by using the Accord Fog Mod which you can find by a quick search.

Its fine... but this car was a high school graduation gift from my parents, really wanted to sell it, but they don't want to let it go being it as how much they bought it for in 05 and that the color is red and as well as the interior being ebony. Not looking for hardcore mods if your talking about engine wise, just trying to make the exterior look nice and clean or at least the sickest TL in Iowa.

you're in college dude, save your money for car maintenance and gas and insurance.

but if you are hard-headed (like how I was): tints, black rims, and a coilover kit/body kit (if you don't want to drop the car)

If you want to go the yellow fog route, the most noticeable difference is with yellow lamin-x.

Holy bump Batman!!

I dont think the OP is an active user anymore?
I think those wheels were an accessory wheel option next to the A-Specs.

I am not a fan of that wheels design. Saw a used 05 TL with full a-spec lip kit and those wheels. Eh....

I've seen these wheels before, they are actually oem accessory wheels, but not the common aspec one.

I don't think you can do the manual swap even if you wanted to... Do you know how much labor it is and how much custom work it requires?
