328xi versus 3G TL A/T thoughts?

Just curious about everyone's thoughts on this, a 328xi coupe versus a 3G auto TL.

Personally from the specs on the BMW that I saw:
230HP@6500RPM
200TQ@2750RPM
3582LBS

compared to the A/T TL
258HP@6200RPM
233@5000RPM
3580LBS

Looks like the TL has this car beat, but some say differently because the BMW has an extra gear.

Oh and I forgot to say I could see how the TL would lose from a dig being that the BMW is AWD and has better low end torque, but from a roll I'm not so sure.

You'd kill it. Not terribly, but you'd still win. I'd say by at least a car and a half provided your launch doesn't have too much wheelspin.

~Cheers~

just raced one recently and i ended up winning. both of us were stock and also a/t.

from a dead stop to about 120km/h i had him by about 2 or even more car lengths. you should also be able to kill him. but make sure your tires don't spin when you take off other wise he will get you.

oh yah i wasnt sure if it was the xi or the i. i think the i is faster than the xi. i=rwd and xi=awd. so that being said you should take him out easily.

you will beat him since the AWD adds quite a bit of weight. From a dig it will be close but like others have said as long as you keep wheelspin to minimal you will be fine.

If its the previous gen 328XI, you'll D E S T R O Y it...if its the current gen, you'll still beat it....donno how much. I pulled about a fender on the current 330 (RWD)
