Took all these the same day. Full disclosure, I've had my own detailing business for 28 years and am a certified Optimum Opti-Coat Pro installer. My car has Opti-Coat Pro 3, which is the 4 coat system that I'd charge $3000 for. So the coating is probably worth more than my car.
I replaced the seats about 3 years ago, took at least that long to find a good set! They came out of a garaged, low mileage 2007 that had been totaled. The center console armrest is actually a new replacement I found on Amazon.
Main repairs have been the transmission (twice), original rebuilder added an auxiliary cooler but didn't flush the lines. So 60,000 miles later it went out. They wouldn't do anything for me, so had another shop that the owner does all the rebuilding himself and also installed the Translab shift kit which greatly quickens shifts without it being harsh. Use Redline D4 fluid.
A/C was another one. Motor mounts were an issue until I replaced the side mount with an Innovative urethane mount. Starter has been replaced, Honda did the power steering hose under the recall. Steering rack was replaced about 2 years ago. Shifter release button was the only repair so far this year, I think the kit was $15 or so, took 10 minutes to fix.
Wow! The mileage is amazing, the condition is amazing, both together extremely impressive. I wish i had wrapped the TL would have saved it from some scuffs and rock chips. Is your accord outdoors all the time?
How are those HID beams? The wife had an ‘04 accord v6 coupe, I felt like the headlamps were not so good, especially in the rain. she sold her accord in 2010 with 24k miles…

The headlights are amazing. Very wide beam pattern, sharp cut line.
My car has sat outside since I bought it in 2011. Occasionally sits in the garage when I take my G35 on road trips. It's been ceramic coated with one of Optimum's coatings since 2009 when it was still my Dad's car.
Congrats Scott!
I haven't been on here in a while as I now have my "toy/weekend" car and it gets all the mod attention as the TL is the trip/daily commuter. Came across your thread as I was looking to share that.... Hit 300k miles today
06 RBP Manual. Had it since 08 with 10kmi. LOTS of mods over the years, but outside of normal maintenance (which i view things such as tie rods, motor mounts, and compliance bushings etc. as normal things over time for these cars):*3rd suspension (stock to H&R/KONI yellow to Tein Flex Z)
*both drive shafts and seals
*both precats (replaced with HFCs)
*clutch
*cruise switch
*all four door actuators
*NEVER replaced ANY exterior light!
Got a bath for the milestone pic. I'll be ordering my 300k sticker later tonight. Happy to join the ranks!
kudos! and you haven't overdone it on the modding.
What's the fun car?
6 speed G35 sedan. Was actually looking for a 6 speed 2006-7 Accord V6 sedan but they're really hard to find. And honestly, having two of the same car, just with different transmissions would have been a little weird. Found a 1 owner G35 with all the service records, maintenance log filled out, original window sticker and even the sales contract for $5000 in 2016. Great road trip car too, the one drawback with my Accord is the seats get a little uncomfortable after 6-7 hours in them.
May eventually LS swap my G35, its been done enough there are well sorted kits for it. I'd be able to keep my current 6 speed, a/c and power steering along with the instrument cluster. More room in the engine bay too since the cam is in the block and not the heads.
You guys with your clean cars inspired me, TL got a bath today
Washing it is both rewarding and frustrating. I get to admire the nice lines of the car, and the billions of rock chips and door dings. I really wish I had ppf wrapped it, but back then, that was not something I could afford. Before you guys suggest “do it yourself”, I might as well wrap it in blue painters tape and it would be less ugly.
congrats again on the high miles and really clean cars!
