2nd Gen becoming 3rd Gen

Hey Everyone - I have an 03 TL-S SSM and will soon be moving up to an 05 TL 6MT w/NAVI. I currently have a SSM and have noticed that every 3rd gen I see is SSM so I want to go with a new color. I am down to ABP and NBP. I love both colors and think the NBP is the slickest, however, I am worried about swirl marks, scratches and generally not being able to keep it clean. My question is if you guys had any opinions on which color is better and if the ABP being a dark blue would be any easier than the black to keep clean. Thanks much and look forward to joining this new part of the forum, although I have been snooping here for months!!

Blue would be just as hard to keep Clean IMO because its so dark. So I think you could throw that out of your consideration ... Get black just keep it Zaino'd and garaged at night :P Black looks AWESOME

One of the things I love most about my '04 NBP is how in bright sunlight you can see deep blue flecks in the paint...part of the "pearl" finish. It's so much nicer and "deeper" than just a normal gloss or metallic black. Be prepared for paint flaws, swirl marks, chips, water spots, etcetera. I don't think that they can be avoided by a mere mortal. I'm learning...slowly...to relax about such minor issues in light of the big picture, which is how good the car looks freshly washed and waxed and sitting in the sun.

Sorry, I have to run to the parking lot now

Thanks Guys, as you can tell by my post, I was kind of suspecting that the Blue would be almost as tough as black to keep clean and I really love the way the new TL looks in black!!!!

Hey qwalls,

Where in Columbus are you? I'm up here in Lewis Center, near Polaris. Haven't seen a NBP in the area... Where did you buy? I got mine at Acura Columbus in Dublin. My sales guy is no longer with the company (that didn't take long).
