Acura is planning to make a Tl Type-S. It 's going to have 300 horses from the 3.5 liter V6 in the Rl. I also heard they may make a TSX turbocharged r-wheel drive but that doesn't seem so true.

 

I can't wait until the 2008's come out because I want to see what they are going to look like. I am so contemplating on getting another TL or a BMW.

 

Where did you get your info from? Im asking because I think Acura is done with the Type S. The replacement is A-spec. Im not 100% sure though

Regardless if the rumor is true or not. It seems ridiculous for Acura to come out a Type-S model that has identical 300hp along with 3.5L V6 as the RL. The TL would need to jack up the price to say least $44k or otherwise they will need to discontinue the RL. It just doesn't seem right in marketing point of view.

But I know there are many reasons to argue why TL should have that engine. So......... discuss

I read the same info (about there being a Type S in 2008) in Automobile Magazine. I think they will increase the HP in the present engine. I dont think Acura will have two different engine blocks for the same model. IF they go to the 3.5, it will be for all models.
