I'm looking for one of these, nearly impossible to find. Anyone know of one for sale? Thanks!

Yeah why only 08 when 07's are the same? All im saying is dont limit yourself to an 08 when there is no reason to.

Speaking of a 6spd manual Type S, I have one and am always open to selling :-) Its as clean as they come. Black on black.

The only thing buying out of state is the condition of the car. I mean what if the car has alot of chips, issues etc. wouldn't that just be a waste of time and money?

Seeing posts like this make me love my TL even more. its 2012 and ppl still want to buy the 3rd gen TL-S. Carmax.com pretty has zero TL-S atm. YOu would think after seeing the cars in the 2012 auto show ppl would want the new stuff like the 2013 Honda Accord Coupe or the Concept cars from toyota, but u still insist on a 3rd generation. There are more bells and whistles these days like blind spot sensors and push start. I guess looks will always outweigh tech features.

i just came back from a one way flight to chicago, got a ride to the dealership and picked up a '08 TL-S 6MT and drove 400 miles home, and i consider that lucky that i found one fairly close to home at a decent price. i had been looking for the past 6 months, just be patient and they'll pop up every now and then, if you find one far away and like it make sure you put a deposit down on it, they don't last long once listed online just some advice i had a deposit on mine and the dealership had 2-3 people in a 3 day span trying to buy it from underneath me. Just like others posted above, you must be willing to travel far but make a fun trip out of it like i did and you wont be disappointed, Good Luck!

Redbirds is right....you can't rush a purchase like this. It will be a great story, once you find your Type S.

thanks, found it in libertyville. they pop up and there gone quickly you gotta act fast and look everyday. carbon bronze pearl i didnt know if id like the color being ive never seen it around here before but then it started to grow on me after finding some pics in the photo gallery of them modded. I love it more and more each day. it looks like a different color in the sun, also goes well with the smoked/grayish sidemarkers and color of the type s rims.

don't settle for a Type S, I recommend that you should set your goal such as mileage, exterior/interior color combo. E.G I was looking for a TL-S about six months ago, originally my color combo are listed as 1st choice KBP with ebony/silver or taupe, 2nd NHP with ebony/silver or taupe, 3rd MRP with ebony/silver or taupe, 4th ASM with ebony/silver interior. CBP and WDP are totally out of question, I just don't like those color regardless what interior it has, MT or not or how cheap it is. I was shopping for MT car because my wife can't drive MT and we do have a baby so she needs to bring the kid to the doctor sometime so family first. I saw a KBP with A-Spec kits goes for $18.5k with 67k miles, called and the dealer lets me know it already got a deposit on it. I called another 08 TL-S NHP with 42k miles for $26K and the dealer tell me first there is deposit on the car several hours later they called me back and let me know that it had been SOLD. I plan to get this http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false. Then I check cars.com again in the morning to see if the car still available before phone call goes out then I saw a MRP with 59k miles for $21.5k locate near me, bad experience in the past I immediately goes out and take a look, the sale man was laugh at me they just got the car back from the auction with writing all over the windshield and windows. I test drove the car after the safety road check (150 points inspection), I test drove the car and made a deposit after that cause I don't want it to be sold again. Couple days later I ended up picking up that 07 MRP with Taupe interior.

It's a sign of just how good the TL-S really was. As a daily driven car, if offered everything I could want in a car: comfort, efficiency, power, impeccable driving dynamics, gadgets, easy maintenance, and practicality. If not for the fact that we had one car that was paid off and the TL-S was not when my wife and I relocated into an urban center from the suburbs, I probably would still be driving my TL-S right now.

Honestly, having driven a huge variety of different cars over the last couple years since selling my 08 TL-S, the TL-S is still my favorite blend of everything that makes a car great to own.

With such a high demand for manual TLs (if this forum is any indication) I wonder why Acura chose to make the 4G TL manual even rarer. Try finding a 2010 TL 6 speed manual, they are near impossible to find.

And make sure to get dozens of pics and if possible walk around videos.

I looked at about 6 videos of the car before I flew out and picked it up. The seller was motivated enough to get close ups of anything he thought was wrong. Mainly just curb rashed waffles which is kind of a bummer. But with some ronjon's later can't tell a difference.

I looked every day I could for about 3 months to find mine. was looking for 07-08 Type S 6mt in a bunch of different colors. My only limit was no tan int. and HAD to have under 30 k miles. Price wasn't really a big set back at the time.

The Type-S with 6MT is out there if you're willing to travel. I had found my '07 in NYC with 34K miles on it. Since it was originally from the northeast, I was hesitant to buy due to road conditions up there. However, it went through the CPO process and that offered a little peace of mind even though it may or may not be worth the paper that it's printed on. I've already used the warranty to fix my butt warmers and side mirror so it came handy after all.

Congrats on your possible purchase of the M3...just dont forget a warranty with that thing..trust me! Lastly, KBP TLS with 6mt sure is rare, but ppllleeeeeaasssee remove or replace all those engine bay parts you painted red. That alone would make me avoid buying your car at all costs. Im not knocking you, just saying that when I see cheesy stuff like that done to a car I will move on and look for a different one faster than you can blink an eye. Im only trying to help because you will without a doubt get more interest in a car in stock form.

James
