2008 Accord spy shots... a preview of the 09 TL????
#82
I had a 2004 Accord EX-V6 that I traded in for my TL-S. The Honda was nice and practical, but I LOVE MY TL.
With that said, I really like the new Accord. The last web site showed the interior and It is a big step up from the previous one. It also has the 3.5L (Detuned slightly... (I wonder if it still requires premium gas?) and most of the Technology in the TL. While I like My TL-S styling better, the outside of the new Accord is way more interesting than the previous generation. Considering the target audience, I think the Accord will be a big seller.
I think the 2009 TL will have to get an even larger engine and maybe SH-AWD to keep ahead. I just hope the new TL doesn't get the MDX front grill. That is the only thing I really dislike about the new Acuras.

It's alright nothing to rave about. Definitely helps sharpen the Camry's image a bit though. The only neg about the current Camry is the interior is fugly. I'm sure the '08 Accord's interior is goergious. It's what's on the inside that counts and give it time (2 years to be exact) and Honda will make a better looking version of the same gen. If ever I decide to go with Accord I'll wait for the 3rd year model of this new gen.

FIGHTING ILLINI
I like it, looks pretty decent. Have to see it in person before I pass my final judgment. Either was it's a Accord; it's a peoples car...doesn't have to be the a serious looker as it has to appeal to your average conservative buyer.
Love that fact that it got a v6 with cylinder deactivation feature. Shows that Honda doesn't mindlessly jump into the hp war while completely ignoring the mileage.

Nasty
That thing is nasty. Anyone else hate how they are wrapping the head and tailight lenses around all pointy onto the sides. That is why I like this gen TL. Small heaplight lenses in the front lends to more nice body panels without big ugly headlight lenses. I like the squred off rear too everything now is looking too oval shaped. I will be due up for a 2009, but not if it looks like that thing.

The front end kind of reminds me of a Scion TC, but from the front fenders back in this picture it looks like a BMW 3 series coupe to me

It's not too bad, it kinda looks like a 5 series, but what the hell is with the 3.5 V6, that burns....I suppose ever accord owner will think they are getting a cheap Type S now, cuz they will claim its the same EGN blah blah blah

Once again, the 6-speed is skipped on the sedan!!! At least you can still get the coupe in a 6-speed. It really is not a bad looking car, and without seeing one in person, its hard to get a good perception of what it really looks like. Although, the rims are fugly!! Still can not wait to see what they do with the 4th Gen TL!!

^ Agreed. Just like the first time I saw pics of the GS350/400, I thought it looked fugly. At least this is a HUGE improvement looks-wise compared to the last gen.

Not a big fan of the sedan at all, the coupe is ok but will have to see it in person. I thought the pics of the Altima coupe was hot but didnt like the car in person.

I agree with the styling statements, I don't love this car and from the back in some pics it does look rather "rental", but who knows what it will actually look like.
Regarding the 6-speed issue, aren't all of the pictures of the sedan? This picture looks like one of them does have a manual http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/2008...cord-1/360809/

Guess I just have to keep enjoying my TL-S 6spd until something better comes along.
