i just had a fender bender with my 2004 TL, i need to replace the tailights and the rear bumper cover. does anyone know if the 2007 parts will fit flawlessly on the 2004 bodies??

i know the bodies are both the same, but im not sure if the fittings inside are the same?? and as far as the tail lights go i know they fit,but im not sure about the electronics.

i would appreciate any help... thanks!!!

Yes, Yes , yes and yes. It will all fit. You will need to get the base rebumper to fit the 04 exhaust. But you could always get the type-s rear bumper and the type-s exhaust.

So the option is up to you.

But the TL-S exausht is a pretty penny, it is just the same exaust with freer flowing cats, 600 desnsity compared to the base 1200, bigger mufflers and bigger quad tips.

Exactly, bigger quad tips!! That makes it all worth it. If they are already having to replace the rear bumper and paint it, then what is 600 to do the exhaust?

awesome, thanks for the help. i ordered the parts, im gonna stick with the regular exhaust and regular tl bumper cover. im not looking to spend any money on this deal and im pretty much gettin a free upgrade.

my fender bender was actually with a good friend of mine, and my car was parked. needless to say it was entirely his fault so he's paying for everything.

but what is the base rebumper? i thought the exhaust on the regular 07 tl and the 04 tl is the same.

i'm curious. If i was to get the 2007-up taillights, do i need red leds for the brake lights seeing as the center is clear?
