I have a 2007 TL which has H8 35 watt bulbs in my foglights. I'm interested in a brighter bulb preferably the H11 55 watt bulb which is found on the 2008 RLs. Do you think the H11 55 watt bulb will work with my TL? Also will I need to change the fuse?

Nope, and nope.

You have to you an H8 bulb, or the equivalent. What you can do to get a brighter bulb is just gett a higher wattage bulb, in the H8 size. Or, you can get an HID kit w/ ballast, but that costs more money.

Also, replacing the fuse won't be necessary.

Check these out http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm , I don't have them but have purchased other products from them and they are very good bulbs and reasonably priced. I'm picking up my TL on Friday night so not sure if i'm gonna go with these or yellow, but I can tell you they make a good product.

since were on this topic, whats the max watt our fogs will allow on stock fuse?. i thought 55w is too much for fogs

+1 on the Hoen endurances. Go to google and search for "acura tl hoen." I LOVE mine!! But thinking about upgrading to 6K heads and fogs later.

Hey do they make Silver Star Ultra H8s? I looked in my store they only go by 9005-7 that I saw. Do they have an H8 size silverstar? I bought the 9006 thinking it would fit considering it did fit on my 2005 TL, but the 07 TL-S has a different design etc.

I see this is an old thread, but good question, what is the max watts/size bulb for our fog lights? I have an 08 TLS and looking to upgrade from the old stock yellows.

Get the new LED ones, they're much brighter and last longer

I would stick with brand names such as PIAA, OSRAM and CREE though you never know these days what is real and what is a fake
