That's probably not the most scientific way to measure 0 - 60 times but, a time of 6.5 - 7 seconds would be reasonable for an automatic base 04-08 TL.

goes to show just how slow the automatic TL is... slow as dirt. Slow from dig, slow from roll, slow top end! I can beat an auto TL with my Mazdaspeed 3 starting with top gear at 70 mph roll! ha ha Just imagine if I put it in to 4th gear.

MazdaSpeed3 vs TL TypeS 6mt better match as you are the special version to the Mazda 3 which leaves Mazda 3 auto getting dusted by a Base auto TL......TL-S over your MS3 so looks like you lose and if by chance the TL-S loses to your MS3 it still pulls the chick cuz it just looks too damn sexy next to a MS3 lol!!

Wow, you can beat an automatic luxury sedan with your FWD hot hatch. Congratulations. My 22 year old BMW can rape your Mazdaspeed 3 from a dig, a roll, and around a corner all day everyday. And it still gets better MPG, costs less to maintain, and looks much better.

Mazdaspeed 3's are for kids who want to be special and different from the WRX crowd, but end up being their own 'special' kind of douche.
