anyone ever come across ? i was on my way to work the other day and this dumb brunette, although pretty hot, she was driving this car like a complete tool. weaving in and out of traffic no signals cutting people off, i stayed in the left lane the entired time, and its always funny how it works out but we get to the same place at the same time. so she just floors it and there is some open space so i say ehhhh why not... i downshifted to 3rd and punched it ,now she was 2 cars ahead of me before i punched it but i was definatly gaining on her.... did she let off ? or drop her lipstick ? or would i eventually catch up... those cars are like 300hp i think.

Could've been a 328i, they look about the same to the untrained eye.

 

Was it dual exhaust or single? If it was single then it was a 328, and yes you were probably gaining. If it was dual then it was a 335, and no you absolutely were not gaining. Unless of course she let off the pedal.

The 335i is 300hp twin turbo. No way you pulled on a 335i even if you got a CAI.

You might want to reconsider that. Type S09 would beat a stock one. I think a 3G Type-S6MT with all availible mods(intake,pulleys,TB,pre cats,jpipe,test pipe & exhaust) would be pretty close to what Type S09's running. I mean guys have 3G type S Auto's around 290Whp with all those mods. Imagine a fully modded Type-S6MT with the massive weight reduction mods

 

Yea, Blackura's TL-S 5AT currently has 293whp NA. If those mods were to be installed on a 6MT, it should be around 310whp. And also consider the 6MT is 150-200lb lighter, has one more ratio, and shorter gear ratios. Or put it this way, Types-09's TL 6MT puts down 327whp right now, and it weighs as much as a type s since it has all the audio stuff and a few other things in the trunk. And it just ran a 13.2@107mph. With 17whp less, I can still see 13.5@105mph which is comparable with a stock 335i. Of course these are just theoretical numbers, but it just shows that it's possible.
