2006 TL interior question

I'm looking at a NBP 2006 TL.

Were there two separate options for interiors - CAMEL and TAN? I'm finding both listings and the CAMEL looks more orange-ish. Or are they one and the same?

There were 2 different interiors. Tan is called Parchment (lighter of the 2), and Camel is the one that leans more towards being orange in color.

You should be able to get any interior color for any color, right? Just has to be ordered? Problem is no one spends the money to do so when they purchase new...

I mean I have NBP, and I have the gray interior. Took me 3 months to find a CPO NBP 6spd with a non-tan/camel interior...

On the 05 TL's all four interior colors (tan, camel, gray, black) were available with NBP, there was a table in the back of the sale brochere that showed which combinations were available. Some exterior colors had only two or three interior color choices.

I had to wait 3 months to get a 6MT NBP/camel/Non-NAV when I bought new in Feb. of 2005.

I originally thought I liked the black on black the best but it's just too dark. I like the black with lighter parchment interior. I have a 2004 Honda Pilot in camel and it's just a little too orange for my liking. Personal preference.

For the most part there are default color combos that come from the factory. That's what you see in the brochures and online building tools. What many people don't know is that there are a few cars out there that have been special ordered with some very rare combos like NBP/Anthracite and camel or Desert Mist with Ebony. Any combo is possible that way.

Congratulations on finding a dealer that wouldn't mind working with you on that. They will tell you that they don't do that. Most of them want to move their inventory and they can usually find you any default combo from somewhere as long as you are serious to buy. I bet most of the custom combos were cars ordered by dealer's themselves for their own personal use.

I had a 04 TL NBP with parchment interior and i loved it "BUT" i have to warned you though it is high maintenance to keep leather like that clean , espacially if it's daily driven.

Do you mean that the parchment interior just shows dirt more easily?

Camel looks killer on black Audi TT's, but then again Audi uses better leather, so I'm sure that's a big part of it.
