2006 TL or 2007 TL

Hi Everyone,

I am in a dilemma. Should I get a 2006 TL Navi or wait for the 2007 TL Navi? One good thing in getting a 2006 TL is that I could get a really low interested rate around 1.8 (or probably lower), but not that good of an interest rate for the 2007. If I do decide for the 2007, I would probably have to wait til next year when the interest rates drop. BUT the problem with waiting is that, I probably end up with the same question which is 2007 or 2008.

2007 is rumored ot have a slight(?) style change, along with (rumored) type-S option. If Navi is your only concern, id just go ahead and buy the 2006 since i cant imagine the 2007 navi been THAT much different.

If you can wait another 2 months, there should be more facts on the '07. Then you can decide then.

trying to decide

I'm looking into getting a 2006 model because I want the 6sd manual and the diamond pearl white. I like some of the improvements they made to the 07 model but I am forced to by an S type to get the 6spd. I would rather get a newer model but the 07 has things that I'm not thrilled with such as the wheels, bigger engine with more noise,, no color choices, etc. I will take a 2 year lease because they will come out with a redesign 09 model in two years. The only problem is getting out of my existing lease.

The '07 TL will have some minor changes however, you might be able to get the best deal right NOW on a '06.

The '07 will have restyled brake lights, a 3-spoke steering wheel, a larger front grille, and lower foglights (instead of the current integrated ones), and a few other interior features. Remember, the TL will get a total makeover in '08-'09, so it is really up to you what you are looking for and at what price.

I just got a '06 and I am very pleased with it!

haha just get the 06 if they offer u a good deal
07 has some good changes, but if u don;t care aobut the changes just get the 06 i just got a 06 cause the way it looks is smoother and cleaner.
the non navi got a new display which is the only thing i like but the rest (side mirror light, lower fog, tail BUMMER OMG y make a vent on the lower bummer when it;s a base TL not a TYPE S O.o ... and also the RIMS ....... RIMS + rear bummer and extra lights killed the clean smooth looks on the 04-06 TL) that;s my opinion only don;t get offended for those who likes the 07

The '07 TL-S is not a rumor. It is a fact. It's already featured on the Acura website.

Oh, and Car & Driver has already reported on the TL-S. Also, Motorweek has the keys to a new TL-S for a long term test.

For those of you who have an '04 or '05 TL, here are the corresponding numbers for an '07 power comparison. The '04 and '05 TL was rated at 270 HP and 238 lb/ft of torque as you know. Then in '06, a new rating method was incorporated which dropped the numbers a bit. This new method is, of course, used for the '07 TL-S as well. So to put things in perspective, we need to normalize the numbers. Here goes.

2007 TL-S HP = 286 which equates to 299 HP for '04 and '05 models
2007 TL-S TQ = 256 which equates to 261.5 lb/ft of torque for '04 and '05 models
