2006 Tl or 2006 300C

I know this is an Acura TL forum so this is why i'm submitting this tread to get some feedback from current owners. My girl has a 2005 Tl and my good friend has 2005 300C so i'm being pulled in both directions. Just wanted you guys input.

im a 23 year old guy from nj where the winters hear can be bad. a few months after i got my tl i went to drive the 300C AWD i loved it. but its more of a crusin kinda car (not a bad thing) but if you want to rip exit ramps at 75MPH like i do in the TL your going to do it in the 300. they let me take the 300 out alone.... what a mistake i tried a few turns like i would do with my tl with the 300 and swung the real out every time. the awd did do a kinda good job at correcting this but the car is just alittle more gooshy its the tires there not a low profile but there it is again the trade off you can hit pot holes and bumps with the 300 and not have to worrie about a flat. its all about how you drive and where you live. hope that helps you if i could do it all again living in the nort east i would get the 300!

300C is mad pimp. It is more of a cruiser than a TL so it depends on your tastes. But slap a bentley style chrome grill and some classy 20" chrome rims (maybe even bigger) and the 300C turns heads. I just don't like the fact that its a Chrysler and the depreciation on that thing is horrendous. Also, I would only get the HEMI one. Dont see the point of posing with the sluggish v6 model. Price might be out of your range though with a fully loaded HEMI model. Another problem with the 300C is the image a souped up one portrays about you. Seems like the drivers of them all wanna be rap stars or something. No offense to anyone.

TL all the way. But whatever floats your boat. I do like cruisers but I can't buy another Chrysler. Good luck.

i had a chance to drive one when i took the tl in for service and i must say that i felt the car was more a truck in terms of handling, and that the interior was butt ugly.. the steering wheel's "wood trim" was more like plastic with a brown coloring added ... gross..
the tl's interior is as good as it gets, and the handling is just faaaantastic.

2005 AUTOMOBILE Magazine Automobile of the Year

Editors' Most Wanted Vehicle for 2005: Chrysler 300
The all-new 2005 Chrysler 300 celebrates the vibrant luxury sedans of yesteryear while introducing a new standard for high-performance, contemporary sedans. In fact, Edmunds.com found its unique combination of contemporary styling and powerful performance delivered by its available 340-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 HEMI® engine with industry-leading Multi-Displacement System (MDS) so inspiring that it has given the Chrysler 300 the "most significant New Vehicle for 2005" award-a most significant feat indeed.

Edmunds.com's Top 10 Hippest for 2005
It's got all the stately glamour of a Bentley at a fraction of the price. More than just a family sedan, the 300 is a bona fide starlet, with glossy rap-video cameos to prove it. Old-world charm plus an available 340-horse HEMI® under the hood make the 300 a must-have for many in-the-know car lovers.

Five-Star Frontal Crash Test
Chrysler 300 received five stars, the highest government frontal crash test rating. Safety, performance, luxury, and styling come standard on every Chrysler 300.

In addition, the Chrysler 300 has won the following awards:

2005 Car and Driver 10 Best Cars Winner - 10 Best Cars "Full-Size Sedan" category, 2005
SmartMoney Best Full Size Sedan, June 2004
Money Magazine Best Large Car, 2005
Life Magazine "The Sexiest Cars of 2005"
Maxim Magazine Car of the Year for 2005
African Americans On Wheels/Urban Wheel Awards Car of the Year
Chief Executive Top 10 Cars for CEOs
Automotive Rhythms Urban Elite Car of the Year
Automotive Fleet - Fleet Car of the Year, 2005
ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine "2005 International Car of the Year"
Advertising Age 10 Hottest Cars, 2004
Detroit Free Press Car of the Year, 2005
Detroit News Car of the Year, 2005

all on 18 inch wheels...

I would go for the SRT8...

The 300c can look great on the outside to me, it really does look nice.
No way I would get a car with a big V8 though, my wife had a lincoln
LS V8, small V8 and it got about 15 mpg average I think.

Sure, the performance is nice, but at quite a cost.

The reviews say the V6 is not bad though.

Hopefully chrysler has come a long way, back in 86 I had a chrysler
lazer (2.2 turbo) that ran great till 50,000 miles, then
(just like consumer reports said) EVERYTHING but the exhaust
system crapped out!

The lazer beat the passat for reliability though!

300s are nice. But, give them another 6-9 months when the styling has lots its appeal among most people. It's a good departure, style-wise, from what's presently out there. But, I think it's one of those designs people are going to have second thoughts about in a little while.

The highlighted sentence pretty much sums it up. I like the look but there are to many questions about Chrysler and I'd rather not follow such a large crowd.

I think the 300C is one of the ugliest cars on the road.

Trade often?

If you like get a new ride every few years then the 300C isn't the car to get.

Chrysler depreciation rates have always been high and aren't improving.

Their sales to retail customers tanked in October but they hid the fact by flooding the fleet sales market with vehicles. When those fleet units hit the used market, in a couple of years, the resale values will really go over the cliff.
