Thanks for the info. This is the first definitive date I have seen here on the forum.

Why cannot you post this into STICKY thread if you have explored our site for months?

I haven't heard any official date yet, but am aware of the possible 05TL info could be soon revealed by Acura and the press in Sep.

In Sept: The gag order of the press will be over. More reporters will run the test-drive, and salesmans in dealership will all be scheduled to test-drive it, too.

Oct. 11 (or Oct. 9~10 weekend): in the showroom and test-drive.

RL date is consistent with the 2004 TL (October 3 in dealers; October 6 in showrooms). I got mine October 10 (built Sept 29-Oct 1).

You can tell from the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) what the model year is. The 10th digit of the VIN shows a 4 for a 2004 model, and it will show a 5 for a 2005 model.

The last six digits are sequentially assigned, and start over with 000001 each year for US models, and with 800001 for Canadian models.

More info on VIN';s can be found here http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...threadid=67654

I here that the '05TL will also have "keyless" in the "key", just like the new Accords do now.

What feature are you trying to describe? The current gen Accords have a superior remote transmitter built into the key and doesn't have cheap silver paint that flakes off after rubbing the other keys in your pocket. I assume you are referring to this and not the "keyless" intelligent key system that the 05 RL will have.

What is your source? Many salespeople are spreading unfounded rumors and I suspect this may be the same (although I would be overjoyed with this feature).

Dealer show in Chicago this weekend. Hopefully some 05 info will slip out. My rep has 19 yrs. w/ Acura and stated there is a "strong rumor" in his circle that the EL42s will be dropped. Looking to order within the first 2 allocations. -----> AM, Ebony, 6MT, non-navi

Why don't you stick out your tongue a little farther, I'm sure there's some frustrated owners here who would love to run over your tongue with thier EL42s.

Yup, they are the garbage OEM tires. You must have a great dealer. I don't think I have heard of anyone else getting a free replacement of tires, other than new EL-42s.

Has any new information been released? Seems like the TSX changes are out there, but still nothing outside of color for the TL.

I would anticipate at least a tire pressure monitor for 2005.

Be patient. Maybe a few days later, you will know more and more.

Tell you the truth. I have problems to follow up those update in TSX forum. Without reading through Post #1 to Post #231, I won't get easy answers what's new with 05TSX, I just think their MOD should organize info into his first post since one of them started that thread, .

Do you have a list of new features/update for 05TSX? Thanks.

I believe the changes were power passenger seat, heated mirrors, lighted steering wheel controls and XM radio.

I heard in Seattle the 05 TLs are already available for sale...my friend describes them as "TL with a Retro look." I have no idea what that means but he tells me they look amazing. Cross between old-school mustang and the 3rd Gen TL I guess?

ya bud, i think he might be thinking of the 05 rsx, that started arriving last week all over the states. the tl wont have any body changes this early into the 3rd generation and definitely not any major ones like a mustang/04tl mix. honest mistake

TL or RL?

Some regional centers have started receiving the '05 RLs but only for "Ride and Drives" to show the products to the dealers and sales people in that district. I carefully searched my dealer's back lot and he has no 2005's yet. He does, however, have about 40 2004 TL's and lots of MDXs.

If anyone is looking for 6MT Navis, he has them. Two NBPs, one with Ebony and one with Parchment, and a white with parchment.

He also has a couple 6MTs without Navi.

The rest are 5AT with and without Navi in all possible color combos.

Holy cow! Your dealer must have the nation's supply of 6MT navi's!

With the info out on the 05 RL and the 05 MDX, I'm convinced Acura is trying to connect a lot of their features between models.

So far we know the 05 RL and MDX will have Bluetooth, XM and OnStar.

I would be very surprised if the 05 TL did NOT have OnStar.

Notably, the 05 MDX get a revised NAVI but still without live traffic updates.

It stinks that 05 RL, MDX, RSX info is all out and the 05 TL people are still in the dark....
