Yeah it does. I don't live in Virginia or D.C. or Maryland but I'm familiar with that area. That lane in the middle made me think the same thing.

I noticed that about the Mazda 3 and 6 also. They look too close to be a coincidence. I was never a big fan of the backend on the CL that seems to be echoed on the new RL but it does look a little better on the RL. I just want to know why they put that XM/GPS wart on the back.

Anyone know for sure if the production RL has the paddle shifters? I would lean towards yes but who knows.

I think too many more gadgets (and pseudo-iDrive/MMI interface) would scare me.

Also would get me to seriously cross-shop the [2005/2006] Lexus GS330/430 and [2006] Infiniti M45.

Why don't we wait for some hands-on testing before knocking this new gadget? I think it's safe to say that Acura has a better track record of technology implementation than BMW.

Any chance the navi with real-time traffic combined with XM (and possibly OnStar) requires a more powerful (and, therefore, bigger) antenna to handle all that data?

The size of the antenna has nothing to do with "all that data". How big (or small) is the antenna on your cellular phone? My cellular phone has an internal antenna and it gets good reception. You do not need a larger antenna to improve the reception.

My guess (and God knows I've guessed wrong before) is someone thought a fin looked better than a bump. Sell the sizzle I guess. It's ugly in my opinion but it is not something that would keep me up at night.

I guess I should have been more clear. I was actually talking about the antenna housing being bigger due to multiple antennae for all the services. Not sure that's even an issue though, really...

But you're probably right. It's likely more about styling than anything else. At least it's not as huge as the Audi satellite fin.

Looks better with actual pics than the prototype pics. The wheels look just like the TL wheels.

AOL HQ's is located a few miles from where those pics were taken. A neighbor of mine (who worked there) often got cars ahead of schedule for Reviews, etc. Pics were too blurry to tell if it was her or not.

That looks like 17" or 18" (hard to tell), but 20"...

dunno but as of now it's definitely my next car.....that is of course if it handles as good as the TL....the RL now is too old-manish......im assuming from what i hear and by the looks, they made it faster, and tighter.

Dammm...nice car!! THe RL looks Mercedez's front and BMW's rear. Especially with an AWD 300hp, I would of bought this car if I did not purchase the TL. I might switch over and I heard the real thing is better looking in person than the pics as per salesman from Acura.
