Not sure, but can you explain how the stealth install works, sounds interesting. The only reason I wont get 1 is cause I don't want the box in the window, thanks

Sounds like he might put the components of the radar detector within the mirror, perhaps?

Oh how sweet that would be, great idea, how would you keep rear visibility though? Keep us informed!

Maybe I should have been more clear -- you can probably integrate the components of a radar detector into the mirror's body, and retain the mirror. I don't know how that would work with an auto-dimming mirror, since it already has electronics inside.

I could be completely wrong of course... just speculating.

V1 is kinda bulky... Not sure what he means by stealth install.

Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean.

PS. I sent you a PM about my upcoming V1 install.

when i'm done you won't be able to know that my car as a v1 install into it, the rearview mirror will be the display (special rearviewmirror needed), I bought a on and off switch to be install in the open panel, and the v1 will be install in the passenger side above teh sun visor, i will lose the lase part but i bought a laser diffuser so when i'm done I will take pictures and show it all

Is very simple....take the plastic cover off then you will see how it works....you just pull it down, but you first need to disconect the wiring, which I think is is another plastic cover.

sorry I can't give you more detail, but I'm in the states for xmas and my car is in germany, so I'm just trying to remember from when I replaced mine. BTW the mirror is the same for all model and year TL's from 99 up.

I think this is what he has in mind:
http://www.ecisbmw.com/product_files...%20Display.htm

I don't want people to know I have a radar so that display is not great. You can get a remote unit much cheaper and install it so the display is anywhere you want. Check the website. I don't liek teh box anywhere including the passenger visor, still visible. Thought u would mount sensors somehow. K40 for me. Might not be as good, but not visible which is what I prefer
