Wouldnt suggest going full synthetic. Arnt high mileage cars prone to leak if theyv run regular.

There are lots of other threads regarding what oil to use. For the most part, use a name brand oil and change it on a regular basis and you will probably be just fine. Some people insist on full syn, some like part syn, and some don't care and use traditional dino oil. All will agree though, just change it like the MID states and you will probably be fine no matter what oil you use.

that's somewhat a misconception. 20 years ago or so there may have been some validity due to attention around seals compatibility by manufacturers, but now it's more about using the right oil weight

I'd just throw some Honda ATF in there and call it a day.

OP, don't you have an owners manual? Open it up ;-)
I assume all 3G's use the same oil, but my Type S asks for 5w20 so that's what I use. Mobile 1 synthetic to be exact. There will be no issues switching to a synthetic now. Mobile 1 makes a high mileage oil that might be good for you.

yes, Honda switched it from 5w-30 to a 5w-20 for CAFE reasons. (Fuel economy, if every car gets .1 mpg more, then it would raise the whole fleet's MPG)

Mobil 1 synthetic is a blend of conventional oil and synthetic.

as mentioned, switching back and fourth and the oil being detrimental is more of a misconception now a days
