2 choices - which will have better resale?

Both titles are clear and clean. Both non-nav, everything else fairly equal in terms of condition.

First car: 2004 6MT, 75k miles. Silver/grey. $12.5k.
Second car: 2004 AT, 55k miles. Black/tan. $12.7k, original owner.

The second car will definately have a better resale, but its hard to find a 6MT these days.

Number 2 mostly because of the low miles and CarFax. The 6MT might sell well later on because of its 'rarity', but unless you sell your car to an enthusiast, most people don't buy 4 door sedans for a manual tranny. I highly doubt it would add any value during trade-in, since dealers usually pay the most attention to mileage.

I just found out how rare and hard it was to find a 6mt while the AT are a dime a dozen? I just bought my TL 2 weeks ago.

It's up to you man. I would go with the 6MT(not just because I have one) for 4 reasons.
1. It's a 6MT
2. I would MUCH RATHER have gray interior than tan interior.
3. Mileage doesn't matter on these cars as long as they're maintained properly.
4. The second one is probably for sale because the transmission is on the way out and the current owner doesn't want to buy a new one I'm just saying the auto transmissions on the 04-05 TL don't have the greatest reviews from what I've seen.

Just because the AT might have tranny issue in the future. Especially that year

How long are you planning to keep the car? The resale value depends on mileage, condition of vehicle, etc. Personally I would go for the mt one. I want to enjoy the car not someone driving it the future.
