I had my 1st service last week (5,700 miles). They had the car for 3 days, but I got a TL loaner. Here's what went on:
* Oil & filter change
* Sub woofer rattle - fixed
* Material covering 3rd brake light (on the inside) was "bubbling", they replaced the part
* Agreed that the "butt prints" were bad. Asked if I would mind waiting until he finds out fix (I said OK, I also mentioned the diff in 05 seats and he would look into it).
* Felt the "flat spotting", but since I have the new tires offered nothing in that area.

All in all good service. But I got to say I missed MY TL!

 

geeze, so many people have the subwoofer rattling issue. BTW, how are you liking the car so far?, i hav'nt bought one yet, but i am planning on ordering it this week or the next. i wanted to get more opinions on the car before i do. thanks

 

Best car I've owned. Fun, refined, fast and comfortable. IMO very good value for the money. As of now, I'd buy another one no question.

Also, the sub-rattle issue was not too bad. It only happened on certain songs. I waited 5 months before I had it fixed.

It was totally me...the problems weren't that bad that I needed to get them fixed before my 1st oil change.

 

What songs made the subwoofer rattle? I'm just curious because so many people seem to have the problem, but mine seems OK. I even have the sub at +2 because I can't seem to hear much from the subwoofer anyway. The bass I keep at -2 because it gets boomy if I have it any higher.

 

The songs were all over the place...like certain Jazz, some classic rock, some 80's. Never did write down a particular song. But I could listen to what I thought was a heavy bass song and get do rattle.
