I can not believe Honda did not make it.

The TLs engine is near identical to the J35 in the new RL, it is not a completely "new" engine. Keep in mind that the RL engine made the 2005 list. Also, look at the V6 that are on this list...ALL of them are DOHC correct? The J35 is still only SOHC and VTEC. If the J35 were DOHC AND IVTEC, it would most certainly be on the list because I speculate it would have around 330HP/300TQ. To backup this claim, look at the S2000 with 2.2L 240HP (120hp/liter), an equivalent 3.3L engine would output 360HP!

While I love my TL, I miss the VQ engine from my previous car The VQ by Nissan/Infiniti has been on that list forever because it is that good!

People put too much stock into "rankings" like this. Screw them. I think the TL's engine is buttery smooth, super quiet, and super powerful. It does lack low-end torque, but for $35k who's complaining? It's their (the public's) loss if they decide not to get a TL because Honda doesn't have an engine in that list.

Also, I test drove the Z4 3.0si twice and for what it costs ($42k moderately equipped) it's a piece of shit.

Well said, I love my TL-S. I did alot of research between the IS350, G35, and TLS. the IS350 I could not afford, well I could but I didn't want to spend that much money and the TLS and the G35 were about the same price but decided to go with the TLS.
