'08 TL Type S shift knob and headlights

I just recently purchased an 08 TL type S. Its in good condition, but the shift knob has a lot of wear on it, I have been looking around for a new type S shift knob, but can't find one. Does anyone know the part number and where I could buy it other than the dealership.

Also I believe the stock head lights have been replaced. The bulbs in there are very very blue, and not very bright. Are these the stock ones (if so they are horrible), and if not do you all think I should just be able to change out the bulbs to stock, or is there a better option for bright head lights?

Thanks for any help,
Brandon

some of the vendors here on acurazine might be able to get it to you for cheaper though...but it'll be like $15 cheaper at most, and will take a bit more time b/c the vendors on this website seem pretty busy. your call.

The stock headlights are 4300K and should be a very bright white color. Apparently you have some aftermarket type of headlights, they should not be blue.

I can see this being an issue if you've had the lights for 5+ years, but you have an 08 so I'm sure the previous owner bought 8000K aftermarket D2S bulbs.
Check out the link below and pick up some new ones. Either the Philips 85122+ or the Osram 66240 are great bulbs.

and this may sound stupid, but the 85122+ bulbs will just plug right in correct?

Yes they are D2S bulbs which is what our cars are equipped with.

it's 54102-SEP-A02ZA

I suggest rather than spending that much on a stock knob that you look into an aftermarket one so you can make the shifter feel more comfy!

It's under the "Select Lever" assembly.

Thanks, I haven't driven the car much. It was delivered late Sunday PM and I had to leave town Monday AM.

I can't wait to get home friday afternoon to drive it.

I can't believe the stock knob is that $$$. Not sure if I care for the aftermarket alternatives much...

Thanks, my car is the 6MT, but I found the correct part from your link. $80 delivered for a knob is crazy.

Not many manuals in that thread. Thanks for the link though .
