I noticed that on my 08 TL-S 6mt the passengerside rearview mirror doesn't tilt down when i'm in reverse (i do get the reverse camera to show).

But I remember test-driving an 08 TL-S Auto, and I strongly remember the mirror tilting down in reverse.

... so which is it? does it tilt or not?

 

Put the mirror switch in either L or R position and the corresponding mirror will tilt. One or the other; if the switch is in the middle position the feature will be off.

 

Yes it tilts. On the left side,u can adjust ur sidemirrors up-down-left-right. Make sure ur button is on ur right side mirror to adjust. Left to tilt left side down
