07 TL Sportshift question

07 TL Sportshift question
So, I just sold my 02 TL-S with 176k miles and bought a CPO 07 TL. One thing I notice with the Sportshift is that it does not seem to automatically shift from 1st to 2nd. Isn't it supposed to?

It will hang the gear until you shift it yourself. Not a bad thing BTW. If the car just automatically shifted for you when in "manual" mode it would completely defeat the purpose.

I like it. With my 02 TL-S, it automatically shifted from 1-2 and then you had control over the rest. Was surprised when i was 6k rpm in 1st and it hadnt shifted yet.

The 3rd gen doesn't have that stupid feature that the 2nd gen had.

whats the point of it automatically shifting if your in SS mode? Id be pissed if it shifted for me lol

My '04 shifts automatically from 1st to 2nd, I think in '07 they got rid of that feature.

My '05 TL does too, auto shift 1-2 that is... My '01 Prelude did not though. If you didn't shift in any gear you'd be hitting the rev limiter =)

They will downshift automatically for you; when you come to a stop, it will go back to 1st.
