Ok, for those who think "what the hell, how can you race with so many cars at a time?", the cars were actually all belong to my one of my friend in university, he is kinda nice and invite me to dinner last night, and I realized how rich ass his family is! (And he has 2 hot sisterz...but that is another story ) I checked his gargage after dinner and saw 5 cars : 2007 BMW 335i sedan, Inifinti G35 coupe, 06+Audi S4, M-Benz CLS-63 AMG, and 2007 Acura MDX
I was fired up, and ask him if he can get chance to drive one of those cars to take a race, he said he only can access 335i, G35, and S4, and then we went to the long roadway near his house, not many car goes by, then we start to race:
1. TL-S v.s. 335i Sedan
We were almost called it even at 0~60 km/h in 2nd gear, after 60km/h I started to pull him a bumper until 100km/h + he pulled me back to bumper, I think the twin-turbo made a good job to pull back.
Now we exchange car to drive
335i Sedan (me) v.s. TL-S
I was a little bit slow at the first gear cuz I dont comfortable with BMW's new set but after 2nd Gear at 70km/h I start to pull him back, and 120km/h I pull TL-S a car!! Good thing to know but I pulled my own car...
2. TL-S v.s. G35 coupe
He went back home to exchange the G35, that was my considering car b4 buying TL-S, so I was so focus on race this time.
we were head to head at 0~70km/h, but after 70km/h I pulled G35 2 cars until hit the 120km/h. My friend said he shifted too quick so we did again, but second result is almost same, ok, now is my chance to drive G35.
G35 Coupe (Me) v.s. TL-S
Same at 0-90km/h but I was hardly to pull TL-S and after 90km/h he start to pull the 1 car on G35 I drive, I am so glad this result, lol, so glad I didnt buy G35...
3.07TL-S v.s. Audi S4
Change the car again, and this time I was just fighting with a beast...
after 50km/h S4 start to pull me, and getting more, at 120km/h it is more than 3 cars length long from me.
We did second time, this time is better, only 2 cars length.
I didnt get chance to exchange car again due to he was detected cops around, so we have to stop, he promised next time will bring his dad's new toy: CLS 63 AMG to try!!! That thing is da fast!!!

1) sweet races...i would love to try-out a G35 coupe...that was also the car i wanted before buying my TL, but needed more of a family car (4-door) and didn't like the G35 sedan...
2) i didn't know the 335i was that quick (i didn't know they had turbo either, unless that was a mod)...
3) how the hell did an S4 pull 3 car lengths on you...that's like a bus! ...i didn't know those were that quick either...i've been waiting for my chance to race one...

the S4 is as well a monster with a V8 and AWD im not suprised it pulled a bus length on you but at the sametime i thought the TL-S would have done better
Great RUNS! this gives me a new perspective on things.

whoa it's definitely a nice thing to know rich friends, even when you can't own one of thoes $$ cars, you can at least sit in one or drive one!
Anyways, Im just wonder, are the G35, 335i, and S4 AT or MT? Does S4 even comes with AT? If they were MT, you did a really really great job there!

Actually if you go with mags numbers BMW 335 should be much faster than S4. 4.8 sec to 60mph vs. 5.3 sec. S4 is heavier and has only 340bhp. Is there any chance that it was an RS4? That thing is a real monster.

The MT 335i might be faster than S4, but I think S4 is faster than an AT 335i.

Not exactly, Edmunds.com got 4.8 sec to 60mph for and uto and only 5.0 sec for manual. Check http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpconta...9/pageNumber=1

I don't know man, but it shouldn't be too hard to drive a AT 335i, is it? Besides, if it's so hard to extract the performance out of an automatic 335i, then what's the point of having that kind of hp and torque? Also, isn't it harder to launch a FWD than a RWD?

Coupe is a tab faster but you can't tell in normal driving conditions.
335i, regardless coupe or sedan, should put a good 4-5 cls on a TL-S.
I've put like 4 cls recently on a TL-S with my 545i without even pushing it really hard, and 335i is a tad faster than my 545.

it really depends on whether the driver is trying or not. The 545i can do 0-60 in 5.5 sec and the 1/4mile in 14.1 sec for the MT model (http://www.caranddriver.com/roadtest...45i-page2.html), which is about the same as a S2k. The 545i has 325hp, which is 39 more than a TL-S. An AT TL-S can do 0-60mph in 5.7 sec while the 1/4mile, I still can't find any number for it. But for sure will be higher than 14.1 sec. But on the other hand, the 6MT model should come very close to that number, which makes sense too as it's said that the TL-S can't break into the 13's but it's very close to. Given that, I doubt that a TL-S would lose 4-5 cls to a 545i, but then, if the driver can't launch and/or shift, then anything can happen.

Yea, I guess it depends on the driver and other factors too, may be the testing conditions were against the 545i so it didn't run as good as it should've. Anyways, I am still waiting for more test result from magazines for the TL-S 6MT. I mean so far only MT has done a little test and it's still not detailed enough. I have seen 13.8s for the 545i too, yet there's also a 14.1s time. So this could be happening to the TL-S too. The 545i should be a faster car, but the TL-S is not that much slower in my opinion.

I think my cousin's TL-S runs in the vicinity of 6 sec, 0-60 mph but keep in mind his car is only couple a months old. As the time goes by I expect his car to get faster.
My guess is that a bone stock 07-TL-S should be around 5.5 sec 0-60mph and 14.2 1/4 mile.

FUN RACES
BUT
Another proof that street racing can go either direction. The most accurate result was vs. S4 manual since the owner "knows" his car which means he "knows" how to drive it.
335i WILL destroy TL-S since it runs ALL DAY LONG 13.5-13.6 @ 104-106mph from the factory w/ auto and some piloted to 13.2 stock, auto agan. In fact, some owners with steptronic post the similar times to owners with manual transmission. Plus it dyno 280 lbs. ft torque AT THE WHEELS. The difference is about 50bs ft. torque advantage over TL-S which is HUGE along with entire POWER BAND.
The old G35 5AT coupe results is more realistic as it should be a drivers race vs. TL-S.
And those who posted MAGAZINES times, be aware that those times are SO UNRELIABLE and WRONG vs. independant times posted by actual owners on the track, it's not even funny. The drives skills makes it all the difference and TRACK can prove it who is REALLY faster.
FUN RACES, again
