07 TL with Navi Buy Question
I have chance to buy last 07 Navi TL in my state for $32,395. I am looking for some opinion please:
1. Is this a great deal?
2. Should I get a 08 instead? Not sure I can get near this much off.
3. Other option is loaded 07 Maxima without Navi for $26145.
4. Would not normally get the Navi but it is in there. Do you think it is worth the $2200 bucks?
For my wife, she currently has 04 TL with 75k miles and loves the car. She puts 26k miles on her car a year.
Tks in Advance,
Jim

1.) It's a good deal
2.) No, so long as resale is not a primary concern.
3.) No
4.) Yes.
If you want an unbiased opinion regarding TL vs. Maxima, you can start a thread in the Car Talk section.

that is a good deal, the navi is worth it, it is so much more car than the non-navi TL's. If you are going to compare the maxima to the TL, add in the accord and infinit g35 sedan. Look around first, I almost made that mistake, but don't. LOOK AROUND AT ALL YOUR OPTIONS. This will benefit you in the long run. My vote is for the new accord, G35 and TL.

Yeah, I just bought a 07TL for $32k, with the Navi. That's a great deal, and the Navi is really the best out there. Don't worry, you'll be glad you have it as soon as you're in desperate need of a gas station or an ATM and you don't know where to go.

I just brought mine for 33K... but I got the 4.9% and they gave me a great deal for my trade. All in all I think I got a deal, but I do wish I would've held out for the '07 MRP TL-S they still have sitting on their lot!!!
And do yourself a favor... get the Navi!!! It makes the car IMHO.

Decent deal
That's a good price on a great car. I'm very happy with the navigation on my Type-S. I wouldn't have ordered navigation if it didn't come with the "S" package.
Now that I've got it, I'm surprised how often I use it.
9000 trouble-free miles on my '07 so far...

Your post should be read by everyone deciding whether or not to get the car with Nav, new or used.
Believe me, there's a reason why the majority of used 3G TL's out there for sale are non-Navs.

Tks for the opinions.
BlueAc: How did you get 4.9% interest? Was it through AHFC? We have great credit but only getting 6.125% at local banks. Dealer says they cannot do better.
csmeance: She drove the 08 EXLV6 and just did not like the feel of it. She had 2 Accords before but I am sure the 04 TL she has spoiler her.
If anyone knows where there are 07TL-S for 33-34k in Midwest let me know pls.
Plus does anyone know how to get a 2.9% new car rate. Other than buy the 08 Altima.
Will make this transaction this week.
Tks Again,
Jim

Guys, I just got my silvr 07 TL with Navi this past wednesday for $30806. Great deal I think. They had the Type-S for $32 and change as well. Hope it helps any prospective buyer for negotiating power.

Now that the 08 models are in, one should be able to get hold of a 07 tl/type-s at a great price .... a non-type-s TL (07) shouldn't be above 32k IMHO ... but then it all depends on how you are located and what's the supply/demand out there ...
Good luck!

update....
Well I took some of your advice and found a 07 blue TL S type with navi. It also has mats, trunk mat, Body side moldings, trim kit and wheel locks. I had him take of the chrome wheels and he is down to 34.7K
What do you think, good deal?
This is 2.4k above the non Type S of the same car. Should I go for Type S is it worth it?
Tks,
Jim

The Type-S is killer, I have had 3 of the base 3G TLs and just got an 08 Type-S, it is an awesome ride, very refined, the 3.5L and that tranny together are just tuned so sweet, car pulls effortlessly and handles very nice. Both regular and Type-S are great cars, if you can afford the Type-S go for it, the seats are far better, although I dont; liek the way the leather fits the Type-S seats, they already replaced my passenger leather bottom and back.

I just got the 07 TL-S for 33.8K (no options) a few weeks ago. Bloomington MN Acura still had a few 07 left when I picked mine up. You should be able to get an 07 (any model) for 2000-2500 under invoice right now. Acura has $2500 dealer incentive on 07 models, so they should pass most if not all of that on to you now that 08 models are in.
Drive both the base and S and see which you like better. S is stiffer ride, a little faster. If you want the MT you need to get the S. Base has a little better fuel economy, softer ride.

I got the TL-S w/body molding, trunk tray, wheel locks.
I think the carpeted mats are standard.
All under $34K and I could have prob got it cheaper, but the guy had to make a living!!!

2,600 incentive for 2007...
The current Autoweek (the one I got in the mail yesterday) Hot Deals section mentions a dealer incentive of $2600 on the 2007 model year TL. I don't recall if it was a dealer > customer or holdback, but that shouldn't make a difference to the buyer.

Stop Drop and Roll
Im looking into buying a 3gTL as well, either used or new. But looking at the prices for what everyone is paying new really wants me to get a new 07. Great thread. Are these prices you guys are getting for b4 tax, title, license? What did you guys get Out the door? $34K out the door for a TL-S possible? $32K out the door for a base TL possible(w/nav)?

Basically, just look up invoice on edmunds or kbb, subtract $2500, and that is your target price before TTL.
