07 TL downshifting issue.
07 TL downshifting issue.
I have a 07 TL (auto transmission).
The issue that I'm having is that if I am coasting around 25-30mph, letting off the gas for a few seconds will make the car slow down faster than it should. It's not necessarily a jerk but instead it feels like the car is awkwardly slowing down. The problem persists if I am braking around slower speeds, the car would slow down sort of aggressively (sorry I don't know how to explain this perfectly). The best way for me to put it is that the car feels like something is pulling it back. If anyone has any clues or ideas on why this might be, please let me know!
Note: This is un-noticeable at higher speeds and then braking down.

It may not necessarily be a problem, unless you know for certain it's acting different than how it normally was beforehand; meaning you feel a difference and can differentiate them. I'm still getting accustomed to my 2007 TL-S, that I've had for about two weeks now. I personally find the engine braking to be superb and appreciate it greatly. To me, it feels more impactful than my TDI's engine braking, which has been a pleasant surprise.
You also have the option to reset the TCU to the factory settings, and erase all of the learned values. I haven't done it yet, and I don't believe I will. However, I have read up on it beforehand in case the need arises. If you're not aware, then I recommend you also research the process.
