^yeah, your current mods are mainly for sound and are not performance orientated at all.

i have ported and polished intake manifold and its runners, Rv6 pre-cat deletes, Rv6 jpipe and Rv6 true dual exhaust.
it also helps that i am six speed, with it having the better gearing and being 200lbs lighter

Do the slave cylinder mod if you do go head to head. All that fast clutching and your pedal gets stock for 1-2 secs..

Only if you're 6 speed!

60/40 chance you'll get toasted off the line and launch.. just because they have shorter gear ratio's than you.

Try, you'll see what i mean.

I have both cars. I'm not sure about a 6spd TLS, but My 350Z is way lighter & way quicker than my Auto type S.. My Z is modded heavily tho for being NA

Probably the 350. I have a lot of time and $$ into it, so it has more sentimental value. But there's no way that I would every daily drive a Z esp. in winter months. So the TL's actually a perfect for that.

The Z will pull you. How much it'll pull on you depends on the year/engine/transmission though. Good luck, be safe and have fun anyways! It's always fun to race someone.

350z should win, especially since the OP is an automatic base and is pretty much stock

I could beat a stock Z for sure, even a slightly modded one.
But when they have like more then 5-6 bolt ons they will beat me.
Justins car is 6 speed with a good amount of bolt ons, I'm sure he could whoop some ass on Z or g35 probably even g37.

You probably wont want to race a Z unless u put the Jpipe on, without it no ways will it keep up with a Z

Stock for stock my 04 TL was dead even with a 07 camry. Pretty much who ever got the best jump.

I got 2 videos of 2 different Z races vs me

Blue z had lighten pulleys, plenum spacer, full exhaust, cold air intake, modded drive shaft?, other spacers, and he had a couple more things I forgot. *No passenger, I had a passenger

The white Z had a tune, plenum spacer, full exhaust, cold air intake, other spacers, probably had pulleys also, and probably 3-4 more bolt ons (hes my friends friend so dont know exactly what he has just what i heard) *had a passenger, so did I

I think to be confident to beat Z or G's you would need jpipe and PCD, intake, and exhaust mods.

LOL at the blanket statements. The '07-08 350Z HR has 306 hp/268tq and weighs 200-250 lbs less than a base 5AT 3G TL. The 07-08 6MT Z's will run mid 13's @ 103-105 mph all day long. The fact you're running even with a Camry means you're no where near that territory. The '03-06 5AT DE is a different story. They're quite a bit slower.

LOL WHO ARE YOU?! never seen you post, EVER!

Yeah if you read what i said I was stock when I raced the camry. And yes now with my mods i SMASH camrys in my sleep.
And yeah, i dont care if its a HR or what not. If its only modded a little bit, I would beat it. Hands down. So not sure where your coming from.

Hawaiian TLs? How could a car be "Hawaiian"... Mainland people... pretty dumb lol... Im not trying to be racist, but thats where your comment is leading to.
Thats like saying "oh my haole TL" since your from the mainland?
Why would I lie? LOL this is on Acurazine, where people are usually friendly and stuff.
I provided a couple of videos. lol Didn't say my car was the fastest TL cause there are other ones out there, but I even showed me losing...twice to compare and show him what mods they have and what I had.

So you might have a fast TL?! Which makes you know everyones WHP lol. Just cause you know the car specs?

You could have just left your and let it go

I'm from Texas and the first time I heard that word was actually a few weeks ago off from the YouTube video of Justin posted in another thread.. like you said yourself it's usually friendly on here... you probably just assured him confidence in the parts he has in his car

but the signature of my last car I would be Mustang GT's all day long & here's a video of an eclipse turbo... ...

Another way to look at it would be sea level versus where ever someone else is. NA cars here at the midnight drags run quite a bit slower when compared to cars at sea level. Anyone with turbo's or superchargers also have to compensate with a different tune while driving into the mountains here.

Don't care what puka shell up there has to say. A well driven HR 350Z would beat the living shit out of an an automatic TL. Stock or not, Type-S or not. You might be able to hang or pull on an 03-06 model, but don't even act like you'd be able to hang with an HR. They're not the fastest cars on the road, but they're more than quick enough to make mince meat out of a 5AT TL.

The HR G35 Sedan? You sure about that? Not in a modded 5AT TL. Maybe you are thinking of a non-HR G35 sedan pre 07. On youtube there are plenty of HR G35 Sedan races vs TL 6MT. They are running close from a roll, and the TL always has had mods in those runs.

^ This.

Between the gearing, much beefier powerband and the weight advantage .. there's no way in hell any mildly bolted 5AT TL will touch an HR 350Z or G35 unless they're racing you in reverse.

So all and all I'd say weight loss for the car or weight loss for your pockets. Either way don't bother. Enjoy the car for what it is!

Off the line it's not. The 350z's have taller gears from the start. The Z will still have the advantage being RWD and being lighter. The DE350z's are easy to beat. No chance beating the HR350z with Acura TL 6 speed or not unless severely modded.

No don't do that. Tl auto is slow. You will be humiliated. If you have an IS350 like mine, you can smoke the 350z any version auto or manual don't matter.

Magazine reviews and 0-60 hype aside, here's a TL-S 6 speed pulling an IS350 w/ 1 passenger from a dig & beating it around Willow Springs. I briefly looked over the IS350 forums and saw trap speeds ranging anywhere from 101 - 103mph.

Sure, it might be geared and powered for 0-60 .. but considering it doesn't have a limited slip differential & only offered in auto makes it as boring as any other 4 door Lexus.

With equal drivers, I'd still put my money on the 6MT HR 350z.

The IS350 F-Sport is a cookie cutout of the 6MT Type-S performance. Even MSRP is similar. The Type-S was tested as .1 second's quicker in the 0-60. But the new autos are superior.
