'06 TL engine swap

Can a 06 TL engine be replaced from the top. I have a factory manual and it advises to remove the engine from under the car

I say no as you'll need to remove the trans and that's after the subframe is removed. You'll find it a lot easier to drop the entire cradle and lift the body rather than trying from the top.
