'05 TL vandalized
Hey everyone, as the title states my 05 TL was vandalized in my apartment complex sometime in the early hours last night. I woke up this morning to find my front tire flat, upon getting closer I realized my entire car was keyed but the roof and bumpers. I called the cops right away and filed a police report and took pictures.
Anyways on to the pictures to what I woke up too. If you guys have any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Dude I feel for you, people can be so cruel, looks like someone did not like you.
Anyone you know that didnt get along with you?
I am have my car in the driveway at my parents house since I am there for the summer before school year begins. My neighborhood is old, and run down, so worried someone will do something on my car freaks me out.
Hope you get resolution from this horrible act.

Who'd you piss off?
File an insurance claim for repairs. It'll go as comprehensive and should not change your rates.
Maybe consider an alarm.

That sucks! I've learned it doesn't matter where your at. People will key scratch, let grocery cars, and their kids slam the doors into your car. I actually watched a girl in an old iroc do that to my last car. BAM! Right in the rear quarter panel. I was like .... um it's ok... The girl totally freaked out. Either way idk what part of FL you live in, but I see/hear a lot more going on in central FL (orlando for instance). So I'd take scratches and flat tire as an inconvenience over busted windows and/or a stolen car. Which ironically where I live car theft is ultra low. It's a rarity. It's small and rural/country/beachy here.
Anyway, it really sucks about your car, and obviously the person had no remorse to carve a smiley in the car. I could never do that, plus I'm always careful about other cars in the parking lot. I remember running across the parking lot after a buggy on a windy day just to keep it from hitting a nice car. Might've been an acura or a lexus. I know people wouldn't do what I did, but hey we all here try to respect others and their stuff. To bad we're the minority.

Honestly I was toying with the idea of doing a different shade of white but wasnt worth the extra work. I will most likely be getting the roof painted black as well as the grill. I found a great body shop here in Orlando who seems like an honest guy and even took me on a tour of the shop.

YES OP, i think u are right. someone noticed how much u cared for your car so they decided to vandalize it b/c u made it visible that your really LOVE your car by the way u maintain it. it also doesnt help that ur car is WDP, which realli makes ur car stick out in a parking lot. u can love ur car, but juss dont make it too obvious where u start making ppl jealous. and i think u reached the point where u babied the car to the point where it had to be kept in a garage.

[sigh] Some miscreants just don't like it that other people have nice stuff. Sorry to see this happened to you; hope it all works out okay with the insurance company and the body shop.

Heading to the tire shop....
Unfortunately I wouldnt have gotten a type s conversation since they could have just repaint the bumpers.
I know, it just sucks that some low life is jealous of how I maintain my car. Hopefully the next place will defiantly have a garage for me.
Thanks, Im still waiting on the insurance to come take a look at it. My body shop didnt even give me a quote just because he wanted to see how much they will be paying. The car will be at the shop when the adjuster comes out so he can deal with the shop directly so I can get reimbursed correctly.

Just happen to be coming back from Florida. Was in Miami and Orlando. I hate to say it but Florida has a bad rep when it comes to TL's being vandalized. Since I was staying with relatives and had to park my TL in their driveways, I was sleeping with one eye open. At times getting up checking to make sure my TL wasn't resting on cement blocks. Luckily nothing happen, considering my TL is kept in my garage when at home.
