i was heading home from dennys and this orange eclipse wants to race

so we line up he starts to pull away so i just pop it in sport and jump infront of him...

he keeps tryin to get up to me but again just drop a gear n im off!

i let him get on the side of me and he has a crazy ass girl in his car out the window waving and blowing kiss's lol

it was a interesting win

it wasnt the GT btw....just the reg GS

well thats my story and i still havent lost a single race yet ahhh the TL is a beast!!!!!

Hardly...the GS is ~3330 lbs with 162hp. It's a low 16 second car.

 

Why bother racing an eclipse?

 

it's funny. 2.4l turbo PT Cruiser tried to pull up on me as well. what's wrong with these people? I was like 2 cars ahead by 3rd gear LOL. I'm in 04TL auto

 

I had a girl in a 3.5 Charger trying to provoke me yesterday. It had HUGE rims (22's?) and exhaust. I just smirked and shook my head. I wanted badly to school her, but conditions didn't permit.

 

the PT cruiser should be just as fast as a Neon SRT-4, surprised you pull that much on him

anyway back to the eclipse....why waste your gas on the GS? race a GT....but man they're fast.....unless your TL is mt...i know because my friend has one and he would walk me 3rd gear up. I have 03 TL-S at, with header and CAI

 

PT weighs about 600 lbs more than SRT-4 and comes with auto only. They can't even break 90mph in the quarter.

GT V6 does; this was a 4cyl.

Of course it was easy. I wouldn't expect anything different. Your car traps ~95 mph and the PT Turbos trap 88-90. That's a pretty signifiicant margin!

Mitsubishi really needs to insert a 215-235hp model in the Eclipse lineup. (i.e.: the 4B11T that is in the Ralliart Lancer) With that, they may even draw some former owners of 1G and 2G GST/GSX owners, who did not want to touch the V6 models.
