Is the 04 TL really dent-resistant?
I mean compared to the 03 TL. It was said that 04 TL has " at least 50% more dent-resistant panels" than previous year.
Anybody have experience on this? Anybody got dings?

What is your definition of resistant? It does not say dent proof.
I would feel better if it was 100% or plastic like some cars that can realy take a beating.
The only good thing is that there is paintless dent removal, that is what I am counting on.

What they didn't say is probably that they had to change the sheet for the doors to accomodate the styling crease, not to make it dent resistant. My bet is that any dent resistance is probably a side-effect of producability of the crease.

To help prevent dents:
1. Park far away from other cars.
2. If you must park close to other cars, park on the end.
3. If you can't park on an end, park next to a handicap spot.
4. If you can't do any of the above, park further away from the driver's side and closer to the passenger side when parking in between.
5. Parallel parking is another option.

Who parks the TL? I am always driving it! (LOL)
However, Gregory28 and RJC have all the right ideas. Also, you must be careful about parking on the "downhill" side of another car in a parking structure. The door can fly open for even a careful driver.
What a shame that we have to worry about things like this!
