04 Tl-new Problem

Just picked up my 04 6spd w/Nav. on Thursday night. Friday the weather was getting colder and tried the Heater. NO HEAT!!. Just cold air. Also I think I smell Antifreeze around the front of the car outside in the garage, but can`t find any leak. Anyway, bringing it back to the dealer Monday with 178 miles on it . Are these what they call new model problems?

Move your post to the sticky thread on early build issues.

Also, bring to dealer asap!

I bet the heater problem and the antifreeze smell are related. I would keep an eye on the temperature guage if I were you.

Nikki - don't panic.

I would not jump to conclusions. This is the first time I've seen this issue mentioned, so I would not classify it as an early build issue. Even models that have been in production for several years occasionally have problems upon customer delivery. The HVAC has been working fine in my car for the three weeks I've had it.

I've also not had an HVAC issue. Works wonderfully on my early build. And my seat warmers work, too (tested last night 'cause it was cold).

I initially thought that I had an HVAC issue when I first picked up the car. However, since that first drive I now have no problem with heat. I'm really not sure what made the difference but I too at first had little heat unless I cranked it all the way up. Now I have heat at the normal settings.

Maybe it was the chills you guys/gals are getting when you first pick up the car!

PEOPLE!!! Don't take the complaints you hear on this website too seriously. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of these cars being sold as we speak, and very few have any problems.

This website is a MAGNET for people who need a place to complain to an audience.
