Neither. I think stick-on kits look gaudy.

Its a peel and stick real carbon fiber kit and on the center trim pieces that go up the dash by the way the stereo and nave I had to add the 3m carbon tape along the sides because they don't wrap all the way over the sides and I didn't want to see the oem trim. The adhesive they use is pretty solid.. u have to clean the hell out of it and use a adhesive promoter to install and hit each part with a heat gun

Sorry for the late response GK-it's been a busy weekend.

Yes, I did put mine on. There were about 40 pieces and I took my time and did it myself. You can see pictures in My Garage.

Yea, some of those pictures are over-doing it. You must be careful to do this in a tasteful manner. Too much is too much.

Ryanfett... Looks great... I have a similar set up to you in my car... Maybe I'll snap some pictures and post them here.

I agree Steven... you have to be careful with the carbon fiber. To much of it and it can look really gaudy.

This thread has got me thinking. It has always bugged the shit out of me that the aluminum-look interior trim along the sides of the center console, dash and doors is so easily scratched. There is a big gouge from the PO right by the volume knob on my stereo that pisses me off every time I get in the car. A little time on google, and I came up with some ideas.

This is called "brushed black" I think it looks great and would be less reflective and distracting when the sun hits it:

Something a little closer to stock, but without the bumpy "carbon" texture:

And I personally feel a little "old" for the carbon fiber trim that's already in my TL. I would love to replace it with something like this:
